I've noticed a lot of older guys do this. My dad can cuss with the best of them, but I rarely hear him cuss around women. I've noticed myself toning it down quite a bit, but not entirely.
Of course it depends on the situation and company, but do you think you generally watch your language more around the ladies?
You mean like calling them b*tch or cu*t instead of dickhead or f*ckface? Yeah, I guess so.
Older women yes, younger women, not so much.
Around the women I know absolutely not no matter the age, well most are as bad as I am including my mother. Women i don't know much yes
Depends. Around some women I don't know well I rarely curse. If I'm closer to them I'll still swear but nothing like I do around friends. I can have a potty mouth especially when I'm not in a good mood.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
I swear like a mother phucker, but in my job I deal with people all the time and I have to tone it down, so I guess it just comes naturally to me when I swear or don't swear. I dont even think about it.
+1. If they are older, yes. If not, no. The F word is a part of the younger culture. I dont find it offensive at all... even if a chick says it.
Agreed. The only time I find it offensive is when a girl drops multiple f bombs or says something like "s my fing d." I find other words much more offensive than the f word.
I would much rather a girl drop the f bomb than say 'dude'. That about makes me want to throw a woman across the room.
Or "bro" I hate when women try to be masculine. Its definitely one of the more annoying this that goes on in college.
I do around older women. Wish I did around all women. I swear too much to begin with. The Marine Corp didn't help me in that area.
That chick from San Antonio says dude all the time. I agree with you. I told her knock the dude thing off... it feels like im entering the friend zone, which aint gonna happen.
It makes me feel old that it bothers me, especially because I like a spirited girl with a potty-mouth, but 'dude' just drives me absolutely nuts for some reason when a girl says it.
Oh, and Wiser; have we seen pics?
I don't think so... Maybe later
I tone my language based on the type of person, not necessarily the sexuality - If I know they're a conservative Christian or they don't swear or in general anyone I'm not familiar with, then I don't swear around them or say much anything inappropriate. Once I get to know them and what they're comfortable with, the real Twib mouth comes out and can be quite funny and dirty.
I just read this and thought it said do you tone you language down around large women
You seem to like large women... what do you think?
Not overly but at least I dont "100% without a doubt" like dudes, like some people on this forum
That was when I was under the impression it was a small boobied young vixen... it turned out to be a dude... meh, whatever... I changed my answer.
Just for the record i do not prefer larger women, When I was younger if it wasn't an 8 or higher I wouldnt touch it. But they are wouldja's not wouldja take out to lunch or wouldja be seen in daylight with.
Yes, I do, and always will.
I almost always do initially. I want to get an idea of her comfort level with coarse and rude language before I cut loose with some f-bombs. I am a natural born cusser. I think it is the red hair. For whatever reason my gun is always loaded but I don't want to offend anyone. So I wait a bit to see what comes out of her mouth first. I can be quite proper in my speech when I feel a need to be so. I love women and I don't want to piss them off before I get a chance to interact with them.
