Just Jack Johnson and Tom O'Leary
I try to remember to at night.
I lock my doors when I go into the gas station for two minutes. I trust no one
I have a softball bat under the bed and a shotgun in the corner of my room, but it's in a case and unloaded so I doubt I could get to it in time if I ever needed it.
I've heard wasp spray works well if you don't want a gun in the house. It's better than pepper spray because it shoots farther or something.
I'm gonna try it on Wolf next time I'm in town.
I lock everything no matter what.
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
I will never lock my car. I double check to make sure all of the doors are unlocked when I get out.
I have seen enough people get shit stolen and cars ripped off where I live to not do that.
Had a guy I work with last year leave his keys in his 40,000 truck AT WORK and some meth head stole it right off our lot in the middle of the day, he put 100 miles on it and ended up parking at the court house and checking himself into the hospital. 100% true story
I've had my windows broken out twice. It's a mess and you find glass forever after it isn't worth it to me anymore.
In your town?
Seems like not locking your house isn't a great idea if cars get broken into around there.
I keep a loaded 12 gauge in my closet about 8 feet away. No round in the chamber though. More for bears than people. We've had them try to get in the back door before.
Before there was space or time there was rock and roll.
No one time in Cedar Falls once in Waterloo. I'm sure it could happen here too it just hasn't. I normally do lock my house at night the times when it wouldn't be would have been when my husband worked overtime and left at 3AM and didn't lock the door behind him when he left.
Really? I would probably pee my pants and not be able to work my hands to load the gun in that situation.
Does a shotgun even hurt a bear?
Well that is true, I was playing poker at the meadows one day and my wife had her car broken in to, smashed window (well she always left her purse in there and I told her not to but she said no one will steal it in this town...uh huh) anyway I told the table and the dealer goes, "I used to keep a cup of change in my car and when it got full or close to full someone would smash my window out and steal it, finally after the 3rd time replacing the window I started leaving my car unlocked and left a note saying take the change if you want but please stop breaking out my window the car is unlocked" Don't know if he was serious or not but that made me laugh. Personally I would have just stop throwing change in a cup.
Yup, I've got a very large knife that I keep under my mattress, and then there's always the good ol baseball bat in my closet.
"A good burn is like good sex. It's simple, to the point, and leaves your victim totally destroyed."--Kenny Drebsen
I just put 2 girls 1 cup on an 8 hour loop on a 32 inch tv at the foot of my bed facing the door, so if someone comes in BLAM......best weapon of em all.
A large knife under the mattress seems dangerous if you're bouncing around a lot.
Well if I ever stop posting, and never post again then you probably can guess what happened.
Oh yeah, 12 gauge for sure. I keep a 00 buckshot and slug combo in mine.
We had an incident a few years back when I was working out of state and the one that tried to get in the back door just wouldn't go away, even after some warning shots. My wife sent it to bear heaven.
I'll poor one out for ya and then bone your bartender friend.
A medium sized ax. I also keep my shotgun in our closet but it isn't loaded.
pistol pull out drawer under bed, everything else loaded and hidden
I once had a .40 sit on a table at a party and it didnt shoot a single person....
