Just watching college gameday and a breaking news came on the ticker saying a Chiefs player committed suicide at a team facility no details besides that though
Appears to be a murder suicide.
LB Jovan Belcher, reportedly.
1.) Heard this was all about not playing Stanzi........... Too soon?
2.) A lot of people are saying "thoughts & prayers" on Facebook, TV, etc... It's like did you really prayer? Did you? I doubt it
Probably several players on that team, this season, who have thought about it.
Obviously, very tragic and serious situation.
And YES, I think I will Pray about it.
Not 'prayer' about it..............Good Lord, if you're going to criticize something like this, at least..........
Oh, forget it...........

Sounds like him and his girlfriend had a 2 month old baby too. That's terrible.

Upvote. I'm not sure why Skyhawk has a low rating. I laugh at his posts all the time.
He doesn't post on off topic board enough.
They just said on halftime of the Nebraska vs Wisconsin game that the Chiefs vs Panthers game will be played tomorrow. What do you guys think about that? I think it's kinda messed up. They just lost a teammate.
Well you can't cancel it. What do you want them to do?
I don't know how I feel about that. It's tough, but I kind of agree with Maury. I guess they could move it to Monday and give the guys an extra day, but they are professionals. Of course it's not quite the same as an insurance company closing for a day because somebody had a heart attack and died.
Push it back a day or something. They're going to have fans out there tailgating in the parking lot, 24 hours after a player blew his brains out there. That seems messed up to me.
I kinda think go back to normal is the best thing too. It will be crazy for the team though they are in a weird place now but the sooner they start back up the better.
They should play it as planned. A selfish act like suicide should not be rewarded.
Forget the suicide he MURDERED his wife. His kid lost both of his parent's who cares about him?
Moving the game back a day isn't about rewarding the player, it's about allowing his teammates and fans a day to mourn and process things a little.
I do agree with you wolf. Everyone on her knows I think about my niece but my Uncle hung himself on Thanksgiving. Honestly I think the sooner the survives move on the better, I will forever have compassion for my niece she was like a daughter to me so I will take blame for it,,,,But as far as adults go they really are selfish. My uncle had five and 13 Grand children he ruined Thanksgiving for... I'm really trying to be considerate but seriously the faster you go back to normal the better,
Proof reading after I hit post... Sorry guys.
I feel bad for the kid and the girlfriend, but if my teammate killed himself, I don't want to move the game. I don't want to honor him at the game. It's a selfish loser act.
