Ah, and I love idiotic comparisons. Do you really think that fisherman and professional race car drivers are equivalent, Sparky? Do ya?
This conversation has taken a turn for the moronic. I'm out.
Life is hard. It's really hard if you're stupid.
According to your definition, yes.
"person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports.."
Fishing is a sport. Billiards is a sport. Even on the linked site Brad gave, the one from ESPN and an olympic committee. By definition they would be athletes. Do I think they're athletes? No. But I also don't think nascar drivers are either.
"A good burn is like good sex. It's simple, to the point, and leaves your victim totally destroyed."--Kenny Drebsen
And I also never said they were equivalent, however, by definition they're all athletes I guess.
I'm still waiting for those bewbs.
I don't think I can do that from work.
I expect great things from you later on.
We'll see, I'll be boozin hardcore probably
Well then all the better
The drunker you get the better the photos should be!
touche, hopefully I won't disappoint
I have great confidence in you Lovin!
Which brings us to a little discussed topic, are bewb photographers true athletes? I say yes, look at those difficult angles, for crying out loud.
Before there was space or time there was rock and roll.
I couldn't agree more!
Completely agree with this.
I think golf is a great game, and I respect the amazing skill that elite golfers have, but i don't consider golfers athletes. Some golfers are athletic, but golfers per se aren't athletes, IMO.
My thoughts exactly.
I don't think there's any debate on that one!
This is pretty much my thought as well. I say yes.
Yup this is true
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
He is so special that we should call him "Special Ed" .

Golf doesn't require athletic talent? Oh really?
Then, I'd like you to go out to your local course, shoot [par and then report back to us.
Yes, I'm going to go with NASCAR driver are athletes.
Most of them, (ever notice Danica Patrick's bod?) are pretty fit, so
I'm going to give them credit for that and they are all very competitive.

What does shooting par have to do with being athletic? Now if you said go out to your local gold course and job hole to hole from 1 to 18 then yes, It is a skill sport you really think Daly could jog 10 feet (unless it was to the bar to get another beer) or Stadler or whoever. I know many people here that are in no way in shape and are very good golfers.
I've hit 18 holes, but I am in no way an athlete. Just a sex god.
If race car drivers are not athletes, neither are golfers, bowlers, hockey goalies, kickers, punters and 90% of MLB players.
