We need OiT and Fu to hook up. OiT hated Nirvana. I think Perk does as well. I can't remember though. Let's just get Fu and Perk in a Nirvana battle.
All I know is the people that hate Nirvana, tend to be older people in love with the 80's. They mad Kurt killed 80's music.
AC/DC's best stuff was in the 70s, but their music in the 80s is no where comparable to the other hair metal of the day. They had far more influence on rock music than most, if not all, of those 90s bands you listed (although most of those are bands I really enjoy).
"Jump" is not a good song and not representative of VH's catalogue or Eddie Van Halen's talent on a guitar.
No one denies 80s Metallica was their best stuff (by far), but that doesn't mean there isn't some good tunes among the 90s albums.
I basically like a lot of different music for a lot of diff reasons and depending what mood I am in except country hate it
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
This is me only I like country.
But 80s music is back he just made it rest for a bit and they did make me switch my likes in music for a few years now I just like 80s n grunge but I think sound garden was under rated out of that movement
Fu I LOVE AD/DC take that beotch puke all you want.
Soundgarden? They were ok but they were way down the list. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, then maybe Sound Garden. I saw them live and enjoyed it. But their albums weren't that great IMO. They had like a pretty good album and another ok album.
First album was the best IMO they didn't stay together long enough but the lead singer has an awesome voice but i do agree with ur order aic was great as well
Dam it Fu you r being no fun : )
Fu is always fun. He is not some kind of toy you can just call and play with.
Oh yes he is. He knows I am just playing so he ain't even bothering.sucks#takesballandgoeshome
I'm not falling for your "magnet tar bear trap"
Lmfao I know but i tried I was bored
Alright been fun going to bed. Happy Turkey day to all of you
Sorry but if you mean influence by insipiring them to go the opposite direction than yes they influenced every band I listed.
They caused the Nirvana scene thats for sure. People were tried of gimmicky crap and wanted real musicians that did real drugs.
ACDC helped influence Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Sublime & Stone Temple Piolts........ said no one, ever
Happy Turkey Day Brad. I'll probably be going to a wrestling meet within a week or so.... So I'll hit you up. Maybe we'll hit up Misty for a beer. I heard she's a good wingman so I'll remember to wear white sweat pants.
Your reading comprehension sucks. I said AC/DC influenced rock bands and music more than those other bands you listed.
Your mom sucks and actually you said, "AC/DC's best stuff was in the 70s, but their music in the 80s is no where comparable to the other hair metal of the day. They had far more influence on rock music than most, if not all, of those 90s bands you listed (although most of those are bands I really enjoy)."
ACDC's influence on music today or in the 90's is about as relevant as Fiji's ecomony influence on the global economy.
I always liked MJ. Haters gonna hate.
"A good burn is like good sex. It's simple, to the point, and leaves your victim totally destroyed."--Kenny Drebsen
I don't get the hate for the 80's music by the 90's kids. My particular genre was late 70's early 80's as that's when I was in my teenage years. But I don't hate the music of the 60's just because I grew up in the 70's and 80's. To the contrary, I love alot of the music of the 60's. I also enjoy some of the 90's grunge. I don't like 99% of rap, although I do enjoy the soundtrack from the movie Office Space. MJ had alot of talent...I just can't seem to get past the fact that he was a pedophile. So I guess with many of you haters of good rock and roll, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
Yes that was my quote. And I paraphrased it exactly in my next post. Reading is fundamental.
To claim they don't influence today's bands or the bands of the past is foolish.
Finally something to be thankful for. I'm very thankful I can not here this influence you are talking about.
Also Wolf quit say stupid sh** like reading is fundamental & comprehension sucks. I read your foolish post and I laughed. Yes the past effects the future but of most the bands I've ever listen to none have said ACDC influenced their music. None. So maybe you should go "read" up and try to "comprehend" the fact they sucked and no thesis papers will be ever be written on the effects of ACDC had like Elvis, Led, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Nirvana, etc on rock.
as much as hearing "Back in Black" makes me excited for hawkeye football, a bad season and the wal mart ads are starting to ruin the song forever.
