When I was a kid I was a Packers fan. But then my uncle turned me on to Walter Payton and I was amazed by him, so I became a Bears fan. I am still a Bears fan to this day, although it has been painful, especially given the success that the Packers have had.

Ya pretty much this, I am a Vikings fans and well you know they suck and are the cubs of the NFL but I have never wavered from them and I refuse to root for anyone else

Hawkeye fan since the early 60's, Chiefs fan since the 60"s, Cardinals baseball fan since the 60's, Celtic's fan since the 60's, Blackhawks hockey fan since 1971 and I liked The Crusher on All Star Wrestling from Warton Fieldhouse in the Quad Cities.

Just make the switch. Its fine to follow a player you like and enjoy their team. Not the end of the world.

1.)Wow douche, Did you ever hear me once say when we played the Gators in the bowl games, "I dont know who I want to win?" Did you ever hear me once get stoked about Tim Tebow? Sorry but if you answer yes to one of those last two questions I'm spitting in your food when next time I'm in town.Yes I like Steve Spurrier cause I got to meet him in a practice when I was like 14. I still think hes one of the greatest coaches and the fact he's brought success to USc proves that. Once Steve left, I never said another word about gators. Also I never really heard a pep out of you when Bama was losing and I was rocking Bama shirts, now Bama wins a NC and your all in a fuss. PS Do you still rock your sooners gear? Was it hard for you last year when Okie beat Iowa? I bet you didnt know who to root for. I remember how this went down, Okie wins a NC and you started to follow them.....

2.) I would never trade the Red Sox after watching them come back 0-3 against the Yankees. A lot of people "tuned" maybe around game 6, but I watched that series from game 1 and I will forever be grateful. Cubs suck and I think Wrigley sucks too. The Cubs could win the next 6 W.S. and I still would prefer Boston. I dont deny the fact I made the cubs switch and I dont care what people think about a 20 year old(at the time) switching teams, goes down as one of the best moves I've ever made and dont regret it one bit. sucker. PS are you a braves fan or are you a cubs fan? you probably start to follow the Yankees after there next W.S. just like you did with Okie. funny this works both ways.

3.) How good are the Browns doing? Oh yeah they are 0-5. If you can show me one picture of me wearing Colts merchandise I'll pay you 200 dollars. End of this discussion. How many times have you seen me get psyched over a NFL game? Doesnt happen. You lived with me, and on sundays and mondays I might of played COD for 80% of all NFL games. Sorry bout I find it very strange that last night I switched to Boardwalk Empire over the sunday night game, I did the dishes and laundry while the Bills were playing BUT when the Browns came on.... I sat my butt down with a fat chew and watched the whole game. They interest me, sorry.

4.) Of course I follow Nebraska closely, I follow college football closely. Are you saying that I'd become a Nebby fan cause Iowa cant beat CMU? Blah ha ha ha, Ive gone through worse seasons at Bama let alone the western Michigan season. PS Are you going to start following Wisconsin more closely? I know how you love ex Iowa players.

Quick question: How are the Mighty Ducks doing? Oh yeah, your probably a BlackHawk fan now since the Disney movies luster has wered out its effects on you. Go Knicks? Probably the Bulls now...... and before you call me a Bulls fan, please stop I liked Rodman but Ive always been a Celtics Fan and Ive always stated that Bill Russell and Larry Bird were better than MJ.

You are allowed to change allegiances up to age 13. Once you have your sports Bar Mitzvah and go from being a sports boy to being a sports man, you should stick with your team. In my mind, here are the exceptions:
1a. Your team moves.
1b. You live in a city that gets an expansion team or a team moves to your city.
2. You move, and this is flexible. Under most circumstances, you should stick with your team, especially in the age of national TV; however, if you move to a new city and know you're going to be there a long, long time, you can start rooting for those teams.
3. If you have enduring loyalty to a college player, you can root for his pro team as your #2 team. For instance, when Bob Sanders was with Indy, I cheered for the Colts, unless they were playing the Dolphins. I know a lot of Baylor fans that have become Redskins fans recently.

Also, don't be a bandwagon jumper. As Bill Simmons says, "If sports were a prison and sports fans made up all the prisoners, the Bandwagon Jumpers would be like the child molesters -- everyone else would pick on them, take turns beating them up. . ."

Hmm you would think Fu and Kf are brothers. Strange

I'm sticking with the Bills. Got screwed on that "Music City Miracle" and we just havent really recovered yet.

Liked ND cause it was my first college football game in attendence and they were ranked #1. Campus is ridiculous. Quit liking ND cause Chicago was such a honey hole for Iowa when ND and Illinios were down I had to root against them. The whole student videotaping on a scissors lift in 50 mph winds deal wasnt handled very well by BK imo.

Rooted for Oklahoma cause HC, OC, and DC were all former hawks.

At the end of the day root for who you want. Just dont play it off as a big bama fan when you used to be doing the gator chomp.
