Do you wear a helmet when you ride? Do most of the people you know? Just wondering your thoughts on that.

I can't speak for Bluz, but I have been riding motorcycles since I was a kid. I do not wear a helmet and I am opposed to mandatory helmet laws.

I never wear a helmet when I ride my dad's old Harley. no one I know wears one either. Helmets are for pussys.

Not saying there should be a mandatory helmet law, but isn't it similar (I know not exactly the same) as having a mandatory seat belt law

haven't see bluz since that thread regarding the debate between motorcycle vs car operator safety. Hope that thread isn't the reason he hasn't been around. Bluz seems like a good guy, even though we disagreed in that particular thread and it became a heated debate,

my thoughts is that in a free country, we should be able to make the choice whether or not to wear a seat belt and a motorcyclist should be able to make the choice of wearing a helmet.
the only exception i think would be fair as far as seatbelt thing is concerned is if you are in a car, and you have a minor that is not able to consent to adult decisions..but if you choose not to wear a belt, that should be your choice to make and to live with the consequences of.

I second this. I miss Bluz too and hope all is well, but he did mention that he was going back to school. I imagine that, plus running the business with his wife keeps him pretty busy.
