Bama Recruiting Violations?

  • Not a credible site at all, but interesting nonetheless. Suppose to be some huuuge violations coming out on Friday. We'll see I suppose. Although they did have 4 dumb players get arrested today too.

  • Even if it were true the funny thing would be nobody would care. USC, Penn St, OSU, whatever else and college football keeps generating the big bucks. It's kind of sad really.

  • I know for a fact Oklahoma does. Adrian Peterson drove a Mercedes, and lived in a large house by himself, that was rented under the names of other students. True story.

    Not saying Saban cant coach because he can but big time programs cheat, period no doubt about it, you dont get that good by not cheating, the key is the ones that can hide it the best. all USC and OSU fans said they didnt cheat......until they got caught.

  • Miami got busted paying players. NCAA blew the investigation and The U will end up with 1/4 of what they deserve. tOSU had players getting money under the table, had the HC lie about it to the B1G Commish and they lost 1 post season and 10 ships. The NCAA will not crush a cash cow like Allie Bama.

    Im a firm believer that EVERY team cheats to an extent. Many times the HC and Administration dont know about it. The NCAA rules are so dumb and confusing even iowa self reports on occasion. Get rid of Title 9 and pay the revenue producing players.

    If something is going to cost the NCAA much money they will "screw up" the investigation, and I agree there is probably a lot of cheating the HC and others do not know about, Hell if Iowa cheats at all then I wish they cheated more because it sures hell isn't working.

    Alabama cheats? Maybe. People are pretty crazy down there & they love their football so there is no doubt in my mind that a rogue booster did something bad somehow somewhere

    But I have no question in my mind that Nick Saban runs a tight ship and nothing gets passed him without being dealt with unlike Tressel. Don't you find it funny, sweater vest christian Tressel was a snake yet cut throat ruthless sec Saban is clean.

I think that would stop them more than the fear of losing money.

Everyone that knows anything about college football knows about it so reputation is not in play, I mean the guy went to tv and said how much money he paid to get kids to go to Miami, it was on a silver platter and they censoreded up. So tell me how, if money has nothing to do with it

    Not every team cheats in my book.

    Cheating would be contacting a recruit during a dead period. Hiding known violations. Setting up boosters to pay a 3rd party for a recruit. Lying to the NCAA. Running extra practices

    I could careless about if a recruit got a bagel on his trip vs if he got a bagel with cream cheese on his trip & why one is a violation vs why the other isn't.

    So no, I don't think every program cheats

    I am honestly not sure, but he had proof shady or not. It was all over the place and then poof I heard nothing more again. Maybe we should ask the Canes next time they come over.

    Yeah I had completely forgot about it. I guess I assumed it was under investigation and they seem to take forever when they do that. But now that you mention it, I'm like yeah what the hell did happen there?

    I see what your saying but disagree. People wouldve watched the NC game if it was Boise State vs Oregon State, but not like Bama vs ND. Ticket prices, hotels, viewers, sponsors etc all soar with the likes of USC, tO$U, Bama, ND.

    Heres some articles about the Miami situation. Fact is that no matter what the NCAA does or doesnt do to The U, it cant be worse than what they already did to themselves. How you can mess up the football program at Miami is beyond me. Some schools barely leave the state to recruit. Miami doesnt need to leave the county and they have struggled for the last 8 years after 4 straight BCS bowls (2 NC games). Place is a mess.

    Should Miami try to sue the NCAA if it delivers heavy-handed sanctions despite breaking its own investigative rules? The answer isn't so clear-cut, but expect the school to exhaust all options.

  • Well the NC game will never be a Boise St. vs Oregon St. The BCS made sure of that. Now moving forward with the playoff I guess we may see something like that. At least I would think it would be more likely than before. But the big name colleges will always be in the title picture. And Alabama can be replaced by LSU, Auburn, or Georgia. I don't think people hate Alabama like Duke basketball for example. People just hate the Sec. They will root against any Sec team in a title game.
