Just picked one up the other day. Initial thoughts:
Pros -A lot less space taken up and less cords now that I packed up my ps3 and moved it into a different room. If I want to watch DVDs I can airplay it through my computer. -I can use my iPhone as a remote control for it. -I have netflix so this part is very cool for me. I can stream it instead of using my ps3 or laptop -I like the airplay. big fan. -MLB.tv streaming and podcasts apps.
Negatives -Only desktop mirroring, no desktop extension. -I feel like apple is missing out not having individual apps for the big 3 (NBC, ABC, Fox) but scored with Hulu Plus (debating paying the $8 a month for it.) -Not being able to add more apps without jailbreaking (which I think I may do)
Does anyone else here have an Apple tv? Tips and tricks welcome? Still playing around with it but so far so good. I really like it.

If AppleTV can work out deals for apps with ESPN, B1G Network, ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX, it will revolutionize television for the better, IMO.
