    Michael Jackson is King!

I'd bet you a $1000 you wouldn't have let your little boy spend the night with him at Neverland if he were still alive!

Well duh. I don't really want to send my kids off to stay with any strangers though!

So he's not the King. Just remember Jerry Sandusky was a good defensive coordinator, but the fact that he was a pedophile made him a POS. MJ is the same way. He may have had some talent, but he was a POS praying on little kids. I hated him. I danced a jig when he died. I went on a rant on HI because of it and got banned for a year. So MJ is my pick for wishing he never existed.

Are we for sure MJ was though? I mean MJ was an easy target. I don't really want to get into this one though JS. Because he for sure was a weird dude. I guess I just don't remember how that all turned out.

There isn't enough time for me to go into all the reasons I hated that greasy little puke. So rather than get all wound up before I go to bed, I will just refer you to my post in Wolf's medical advice thread. It's much more light hearted. biggrin

Almost a perfect list. Except Livin on a prayer is a pretty good song.

ACDC did pop in my mind. But I would leave them alone for Back in Black and Iowa football. But I'm guessing that's why you put them on there?

  • I had no idea so many of you had terrible tastes in music. Based on how they influenced music, you cannot reasonably include AC/DC or MJ on this list (even if MJ was a POS). And VH and Metallica are awesome. Early Linkin Park was good, too. I also enjoy system of a down on occasion, but realize it's not everyone's cup of tea.

My list would include pretty much anything played on pop radio in the last 10 years. Also Nickleback. And Buckcherry.

I knew someone would bring that up... But really why is it that at any football game a person goes to they have to hear bad 80s music. ( I love 80s just some is bad and that's what seems to be the main choice).

I hate System of a Down more than I can say

    This post wins all.

As much as I hate Van Halen, Metallica, Nickelback, plus some others already posted, System of a Down and Linkin Park are on an epic level of suck.

I get that. But Back and Black and Iowa football go hand and hand. Any Iowa fan that hears that song thinks the same thing. It may be old and outdated. But it's tradition. I don't know, I do like it. But I get why some people would want to do away with it as well.

I guess it doesn't bother me at a game as much but anywhere else I get the angries when I hear it.

  • May be blasphemous, but I think the Enter Sandman/ Back in Black entrance is choppy and awkward.

As for AC/DC, I don't really like them, but do enjoy Back in Black and You Shook Me All Night Long.

  • And I do think AcDc is good. But everyone of their songs sound the same. They haven't changed at all. Even when their singer died, they really didn't change much.

How one doesn't like AC/DC is censoreding beyond me and in my opinion the fact they never changed is exactly why I like them they come out they rock and they go home. Same could be said about Nirvana, Pearl Jam etc all there shit sounds the same it is good so why change it.
P.S I like Nirvana and Pearl Jam that was not a put down.

No you can't say that about Nirvana. Listen to all of their albums they are all different. Nevermind may have been more on the popular side. But they went totally in the other direction with their next album In Utero. And you apparently haven't listened to much Pear Jam. I'm not a big fan or anything. But they have been around for a long time and still put out good stuff. They are one of the few bands from the 90's to be able to put out quality music for a long time.

ACDC has a good sound it just never changes.

No, there is a definite difference between Bon Scott's AC/DC and Brian Johnson's AC/DC. The did some really good blues rock at times.

@Wolf- ACDC may have two tunes I like, but the rest of there stuff sucks. I hate most of the 80's rock and ACDC epitomize it. Personally I wouldn't but MJ in the list. I could see why people hate Metallica after selling out plus the Napster mess. Van Halen's 'jump' about sums up that band and their fans.

@JS - kids getting molested is a horrible thing. So I'm sad that MJ did moleste one kid, but after the one kid came out I didn't care how many kids got molested. That's on them. They knew he was a pedo but they slept there anyways. Doesn't change the fact he was the king of pop and Jerry Sandusky raping kids doesn't change the fact he was a great DC and OJ killing his wife doesn't change the fact he was an amazing runningback.

@Maury - I hate ACDC after they made the song 'Balls' and actually seeing losers play that tune on the jukebox in the bar. Plus most ACDC actually think their genre of house of hair were better than the likes of Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Blind Melon, Soundgarden, Rage against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Incubus, Korn, Offspring, Staind, Stone Temple Piolts, Sublime....... I just hate the 80's genre and they don't even come close to touching the 90's talent, hell the 70's had better rock than the 80's. It's like good music skipped a whole generation. If someone says they like ACDC it's like telling me you think Bill Maher is funny [puke]

It's really not at all. He wrote a couple songs protesting rape. Heart Shaped Box is about Courtney Love's censored. You are really selling Kurt short if you think he can only write Teen Spirit.
