I don't recall Iowa taking many JUCOs, is this a one-time deal or a change in recruiting strategy?
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

It's not a regular occurence by any means. It's something that's done only when there is a huge need at a position. Even then the staff usually only offers if they see the player as capable to contribute immediately.
