Thank You Iowa Seniors!

  • I know the season has been a tremendous disappointment, but I don't want to miss the opportunity to thank the Iowa seniors who have committed their blood and sweat to this program. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you put your heart on the line week in and week out. I look forward to watching your closing performance this week against Nebraska and hopefully ending on top!!!!

    Just saw this, and I completely agree with you. Most people don't realize how much work these guys put in on a daily basis for 4-5 years for this program. This year has obviously been disappointing for everyone, but those guys have laid it all on the line for the Hawkeyes for their entire careers. They definitely have my respect for that.

  • Great thread. I wish the seniors all the best. They are still Iowa Hawkeyes and they have worked hard. Tough season for them, but I still support them. One last hoorah for the young men tomorrow.

  • Me too. And a personal plea to the students at the game - DO NOT BOO any of the seniors, Vandy in particular. I'm sure Vandy is as heartbroken about his senior year as the rest of us. That display on senior day against Adam Shada in 2007 was shameful.
