That's definitely impressive that Ferentz does that. He certainly doesn't have to, and that shows that he really does care about the university.
That being said, my impression is that most Iowa fans don't really have any problems with him as a person. Where some people have a problem with him is the on-field results.
But even our beloved Steve Alford donated money to UI and Ronald McDonald House
