Shout out to Fran...from OSU

  • I was listening to part of the OSU basketball game today on Sirius Radio College Sports and the Buckeye's home announcers were talking about the BT coach of the year. Bo Ryan was the first name mentioned and then Thad Matta's name was brought up...no surprise. Then, one of the guys said, "Let's not forget about Fran McCaffrey...what he has done at Iowa to rebuild that program is really remarkable. They are a very good team this year, and he deserves a lot of credit. He is a very fine coach." (paraphrased) Sure did like this one.

    Thanks for sharing. He really has done an outstanding job turning this program around, and it's nice that others around the conference are acknowledging that.

    True, or at least top 4. IMO, in order to win it without finishing in the top 4, you'd have to have a drastic turnaround from Penn State's level (2-16) to Iowa's level (9-9) in one season.
