there must be a lot of long faces in nit central today. clearly, ky was the lead attraction for the tnmnt--and now the blue guys have gone home. an event that doesn't have much lustre to lose has lost a little of its sheen.

Calipari was very unhappy and made some very disparaging remarks about this season and his team that would make Steve Alford look like a Pollyanna.

First, defending champions and no. 3 in the preseason polls.

Then don't make the tournament.

Then hated rival Louisville gets overall #1 seed and gets to play first two rounds and Rupp.

Then UK has to go on the road to a 3,000 seat gym (smaller than my high school) because Rupp is unavailable.

Then they lose to a #8 seed.

If you are into UK schadenfreude, this is the pinnacle.

Huge win for Robert Morris. This game obviously meant a lot more to their program than to Kentucky's program, and I think that's a major reason why they pulled the upset.
