Question for Todd, Todd or Fish re: NIT games

So, I'm hearing that if the IOWA HAWKEYES are a #1 seed for the NIT,
a) When will they play their first game? Presumably, the start schedule is set already with NIT folks.
b) There is also chatter that if Iowa is #1 seed, it could host 3 straight games at home?
Confirm ?

ESPNU will announce the NIT bracket starting at 8 PM, so we'll know Iowa's fate within 20-40 minutes.

#3 Iowa will host #6 Indiana State on Wednesday night. The game will be at 6 PM on ESPN2.

Yes. He left Iowa City after Northwestern State.

Lansing was actually the bball coach and a counselor at my high school when I went there. I didn't play ball, but he seemed like a good dude and good coach.

It's too bad the selection committee doesn't have more of a sense of humor. With New Mexico as a 3, Alford could have faced NWSU in the first round again.

I have watched ISU play earlier this year against Creighton, Iowa should be able to take it to them. Hopefully they do so early and don't let up

What was Iowa's Home record, this season? Only 2 losses were to a #1 seed, Indiana and #3 seed, MSU.
If Iowa wins, do they have to go on road, or is there still a chance they may host 2nd round game?

I believe home court is based on the seed, so if they win this, they would need the 7 seed to win, to get to host the next round

Iowa will play the winner of Stony Brook at UMass. It seems that Iowa would host Stony Brook or play AT UMass, but nothing is confirmed on that yet.

The women are hosting on Sun. and Tues. which would makes scheduling round 2 at home difficult. As I said on another thread that is why I think we dropped to a 3. I am guessing Sat. is out too for women's teams practicing on the main floor and I don't see Stony Brook being asked to travel to Iowa for a game Friday after playing on Wed. My guess is we would still travel east for a Sat. or Sun. game.

Was thinking the same thing and was practically praying about that match-up.
Lobos have never reached the Sweet 16. I can't stand Arizona but will be pulling for them (assuming it happens) in the 2nd round.
