Next Year's Schedule

Northern Illinios – Northern Illinois is 10-1 this season. Toss up
Missouri State – Win
Iowa State – Game in Ames. Loss
Western Michigan – Win (that's what we all thought last time)
Minnesota- at Minny and they will be improved. Loss
Michigan State- it's at home. Iowa may pull this one out.
Ohio State - Blow out in Columbus
Northwestern- loss
Wisconsin- loss
Purdue - away game. Loss
Michigan- after seeing their backup QB who looked pretty darn good- loss
Nebraska in Lincoln- loss
Unless we have a monster inoming freshmen class and Greg Davis draws in some pass plays that go longer than 5 yards per pass attempt, I see maybe 3 or 4 wins next season.

I started a "3-9 (4-8 if we're lucky) in 2013" thread after the Indiana fiasco, and it got blasted for the most part.
But it's gotten worse for by the week since then, and our predictions for 2013 are much more realistic.
The only wins I really see are NIU, Missouri St and WMU, and maybe MSU.
"Western Michigan – Win (that's what we all thought last time)" -- make that the last two times!

Good question. I believe iowa will improve. But so will other teams. The schedule also gets harder with the addition of Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Clearly the schedule looks like it will probably be tougher, but my biggest thing is, it is much too early to even think about that. We don't even know who will be where and starting.
But I just think to say this team will be improved so that is a loss, doesn't make much sense because Iowa could be much improved as well.

Let's hope for an oregon Sttae type turn-around in 2013.
The coaching staff needs to do some serious soul-searching this winter.
