Whether it's true or not, whether everyone thinks he deserves it or not, or whether some think the scholarship should have been used somewhere else, I'm very glad that I support a team that rewards walk-ons like White and Staggs. I think it's important to, at times, not place so much emphasis on wins and losses, and step back and recognize some of the things that make the Iowa football program great for all of us, and appreciate some of the things that the program stands for. A great place to start is the walk-on program. I think it's imperative to the program as a whole to reward players for there contributions made to the program, even if those accomplishments weren't earned entirely on Saturdays. Hats off to Jason White.
