Iowa IN or Iowa OUT of the NCAA tourney?

  • Not what you want to happen, what you think will happen.............

Let's see who gets it right. All winners will receive awards at the first VOTH football tailgate. (Won't they Todd?)

Other prediction......the four #1 seeds in the tourney.

Grand prize winner gets 5 (count 'em- 5!- for going 5 for 5 guesses) Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale (a seasonal collection treasure).

    Good luck!

  • Me, being the sore loser with a bad attitude at times, of all people, says in.

I'm already planning on being at the home opener on Aug. 31. I assume the tailgate will be on Golfview. Will the dog will there again? I'll also try to get in touch with Peyton!

    Kan, Gonzaga, Miami and Louisville.

  • I think Iowa will play La Salle as a #12 on Tuesday night in the First Four. The winner will head to Austin, TX to play #5 Arizona in the West Regional.

    1-Seeds:
    Indiana--Indianapolis
Kansas/Louisville--Arlington (If Lou wins tonight, it'll be them, otherwise KU.)
    Duke--Washington, DC
    Gonzaga--Los Angeles

Yes, NYC, Gunnar will be there, and I hope Peyton is also! prayclap

31st will be the day after my birthday. Don't forget to bring a present (I'd settle for Peyton). thumbsup

She had landed a job in Connecticut and was all set to move out here last fall, but then Sandy hit. I believe she is still in the Midwest.

You can also reach me on email as I cancelled my Facebook account several months ago. A lot of people out there think I "unfriended" them but that's not the case as I don't use it any more.

Is BBR gonna renew his season spot on Golfview?

Surprise, surprise, I think I finally gave you some of my optimism this year. I still stand by my preseason prediction of Let's Get Mad! Fran makes history with getting four different teams in the NCAA in 3 years!

  • out

iowa is not tough enough to play in the NCAAs - as proven yesterday

Glad you're talking to me again. When I went off last month after that incident in Lincoln, you never responded directly to my posts or emailed me again.

And I still call that thing in Lincoln an "incident." In a way, I'm more ticked off about that than last night.

BTW, Las Vegas is on as usual next week.

  • I never got your email. I have been busy working long hours which I have been missing live game threads... Good luck in Vegas and hope to see IA in the field.

Did not email you in a while, but did make direct comments to you on the board in the past month.

I heard you've been very busy.

Can't wait to be in Vegas again with Iowa in the field -- if not this season, next one for sure.

    Let's Go Hawks!

  • A 1 seed NIT. The tournament 1s are Kansas, Gonzaga, Indiana, and Miami.

  • Unfortunately...out.

Louisville, Gonzaga, Duke and Indiana in that order of seeding.

I agree that Iowa is out, and that those will be the four number one seeds. Miami could replace Duke with a win tomorrow, though.

  • I'm saying IN based on playing each game close that they have played (except the last 22 minutes of the Michigan game). Plus - no way can you logically put Minney or illannoy in and not the hawks! i think Minney goes NIT again. Plus - maybe the committee will agree that the Hawks were Valentined Friday!

  • Iowa out

    Louisville, Zaga, Kansas, Indiana

Indiana now heads East and UL gets the Midwest bangheadfrustrated

  • Sad to say, OUT. Not enough signature wins and a weak OOC did them in.

No. 1 seeds - Louisville, Zags, Kansas, Miami

Minor change - I think Duke ends up as a two seed, and that final one seed goes to Kansas if Miami loses today, and Miami if the Canes win today.

  • Iowa misses out by the hair of their chinny-chin-chins. Next year they will make it with a bit more reliable 3-point shooting.

Gonzaga, Louisville, Kansas, and Indiana. IU not playing in Indy, I hope.

    GO HAWKS!

Looks to be Kansas over Duke...Miami (FL) a #2 win or lose

  • Sadly, I believe the Hawks are NIT bound. The #1 seeds = Gonzaga,Miami,Duke, and Louisville.

  • Hawks are in the NCAA....I hope. NCAA #1 seeds, Gonzaga, Kansas, Indiana, Miami.

Yeah, just saw that about Miami. That's a little surprising considering they could win the regular season title and the conference tournament, but Lunardi is typically right on the money. Seems like it's almost a lock to be Gonzaga, Indiana, Kansas and Louisville.

Looking to be that order as well. A little shocked IU could still end up in the Midwest.

I'm not really. If you look at the entire body of work, IU really has been good this year. Crean seems to struggle with Bo Ryan teams for whatever reason. Louisville did lose 3 games in a row this season. I honestly don't think Louisville is one of the top 4 teams this year, but that's just me.
