Honey Badger gets the boot from LSU

  • honeybadgerKid was a heisman finalist and they kicked him off for breaking "team rules". Wonder whats going on. Heard he's looking to transfer, I say we take him, Issiah Crowell, and Dyer as transfers. Just get a shock collar, they be fine we'll be fine and thats a championship team right there(also a good chance that it will be episode of "COPS")honeybadger

    Really? I thought it was something way bigger than that. Isnt this the SEC where they turn a blind eye to drug tests? It's not even a NCAA rule that you have to suspend someone for a failed recreational drug test, I just dont think you kick a guy like this off your team for pot. I think there is more, I'd be willing to bet KF would sweep this under the rug if he was on our team(also thats saying that pot is the only issue which I dont think it is)

    It's a team rule, different at each institution, but i think a 3rd positive test is the farthest any school in the BCS allows before expulsion

  • LSU school policy does have a rule that if you fail 3 drug tests, you're automatically dismissed from the sport you participate in. He was 5th in the Heisman voting last year.

    LSU has plenty of talent to move on.

    I believe Mathieu will need to shop for a school at the FCS division if he wants to play immediately.

  • I'm guessing he hits an FCS school in the South somewhere. Play out the year there and go to the NFL ala Janoris Jenkins.

    PSU couldn't take him. Remember, they are cutting scholarships right now, they aren't taking more on.

    There is a chance that he wont be able to play at ANY level of the NCAA this year. So were talking JUCO or NAIA. I dont understand the rule but this is being reported.

    1.) Why are you drug testing your star player in the 1st place? Do you think Trent Richardson had to pee in a cup?
    2.) Why didnt anyone give this kid a heads up on when these "random" test where going to happen? And why didnt he buy flush system drink, a whizzinator, a "oil change" with clean pee or just any method.

    Its sad Tyrann couldnt stay clean. But I find it just weird that LSU couldnt sweep this under the rug. How many games did Bob Sanders sit for his DUI's? And that infomation is public, no one had to know about this. Im shocked that LSU had the balls to kick off the best NB in the country. Props to them I guess.

  • Don't you just shake your head at some of these kids? They have all of the talent in the world but no life discipline. They think their talent will just get them by and make them millions. And I guess that actually does happen a lot. But don't you just wonder how they would preform if they put it all together like in a Dan Gable type of way? Like if someone like Dez Bryant or Shaq thought the way Gable did. How great could they be?

    I have a lot of respect for the Mad Hatter in following policy and rules, regardless of who the player is.

    As you said, it's surprising. I doubt Saban or Chizek would do the same.
