I've been worried about this same subject for a few days now. I fear that one of these other recruiting guys are going to call up another and have a talk about our ol' Todd. I can see it now,
"Hello",
"Hey Rob, can you talk?",
"Who is this",
"It's me, Blair",
A hand is held against the phone and muffled screaming can be heard. "What's up man?",
"Listen, we need to talk about 'Todd thorn in our side Worly'",
" Oh crap.",
"Yep, him again, listen we need to do something fast, I'm losing paying customers everyday to 247. The jerk is working 24-7 and making us look bad!",
"Look Blair, I told you yesterday that I'm not on board unless the others are too.",
"They're all on Board, Marc said he's in if your in because he's losing his readers and Jon said the same thing.",
"Well, it's on me then I guess, Alright I will do it. I'll need some super glue, some ductape and a tranquilizer gun. You buy it."
"Awesome, listen, in case we get caught let's set up Kakert, I'll put the reciept somewhere in his desk.",
"Oh wait, we can't do this, where will we get our information about Iowa if Todd's mouth is glued shut?"

I challenge you to post any highlight video of any of our commits that are a joke. Show us one bad player among the group. It seems you have been visiting tos and bought into some of the anger. At first I wanted to say that you don't belong at this site because you are too negative, but that's not the case, I think you need to be here with people who are kind and who consider things before jumping to conclusions. They also understand that there are many things that go into ratings. According to 247 there are 3-4 Iowa commits that rate on the border of being a 4 star. If they had 1-2 points then this discussion goes away. Thats crazy! Rate these guys yourself like I did, and compare them to a few of tos's 4 star rated players. I bet you come away with a better outlook than you have now. The "sexy" comment has been around for a while but to me thats one of the easiest to deal with. Before our new OC came in we had no need to be sexy. The team ran a scheme that stood the test of time for a long time and brought in guys that wanted to play in that style. Now that has changed some and with the "new breed of Iowa WR", we will look a bit more exciting, IMO. As the scheme shows it works then we will get even higher rated wr's.
One last thing, I get the idea that if you were running Iowa city, you would hire "non-white" people to move in during recruiting time. I hope not.
It seems like you are ignoring the reason most come to college, education in academics and in football. Iowa fill's those needs just fine for the student athlete. As a matter of fact Iowa is one of the better school in the nation at teaching football and they are HIGHLY RATED in academics as well. Thank you and peace.
EDIT, I missed one, You said "higher academic/moral standards" are too high and a problem.
Friendly advice: I moved from Texas and became a fan of Iowa, it was easy as I loved how Ferentz treated his students. I think you may be happier taking a look at another team (like I did) as there are many that meet the standards that you mentioned. Try the SEC. I'm not being rude. Thanks.
