This weekend was a tough weekend for Hawkeye hoops fans.
Teddy Valentine still hasn't followed up on his Optometrist's request for eye surgery and then the
bracketolgists asked us to bend over, one more year.
However-------take heart, Hawkeye fans. The future is very bright.
Next season, Iowa adds 2 Mr Basketball of Iowa players. One who is now 3 years removed from High school.
Jarrod Uthoff will plug-in and may start every game in 2013-14 season. He is that good of a BB player.
Peter Jok will add much needed offensive punch, with his perimeter shooting and his length will be an asset, as well.
Then, you have Kyle Meyer, a 6' 10" recruit with decent handles and offensive playmaking ability for a big.
We lose the heart of this year's squad, Eric May and he has been under-appreciated this year, imho.
Bright, bright bright is the new Hawkeye BB word!

'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
Right here and now, I'm going to project that Fran's Hawkeyes are
Top 5 in Big Ten, next season and
win, at least 2 games in the Big Dance.
In the meantime, let's dispose of Larry Bird's team, swiftly and properly.
I think top 4 and 12-6 in B1G play.
Will Fran even be around next year? USC is looking for a new coach. Doesn't he have an aunt or cousin who lives in CA to make it a natural move? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
This program is definitely headed in the right direction, and making it to NYC would be a nice way to cap off this season.
