In today's Sagarin Computer rankings, the IOWA Hawkeyes are #39 in the nation.
In Sagarin's comparative analysis, Iowa is just ahead of Iowa State at 41 and also ranked ahead of
Illinois, who still sits at #42, despite 2 big wins this week.
The Hawkeyes just need to Take Care of Business and hopefully they'll be looking at a
NC2A bid in March.
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
That is a nice dream but I wouldn't get your hopes up. If we can beat the teams are are supposed to (PS, Nebby twice, and Purdue) and can get atleast one out of three from Indiana, Minnie, and Illinois we can be bubble. I personally think we have to win out with the exception of the Indiana game. Possible but not probable.
Very important game tonite at Happy Valley, PA.
Hawkeyes certainly need to take care of business, step-up on the road and go
Lion hunting on Valentine's Day evening.
All you need is a W, at this point.
Now, it's time to get ready for an oh so enthusistic welcome for
Tubby and the Goofers.
Not sure if this was brought up earlier, but Eammon Brennan on ESPN.com wrote a whole paragraph about how Iowa should be in based on their BPI(ESPNs computer ranking) and their KenPom but that since the committee only looks at RPI he couldn't list them officially on his bubble watch list. Win at Nebraska and take care of the home games and everything will be fine, but neither of those two are locks.
