Do you guys ever type something on here and then....

  • just put on the brakes and go back to reading because in your head you're thinking "naw, it's just not worth it"?

    I do this all the time. I'll have a whole paragraph typed out and just do the Lee Corso "aww, eff it" and go back to reading.

    I'm not calling out anyone or anything specifically, I'm just curious to know if anyone else does this.

  • Funny question -- absolutely. I do it almost daily -- sometimes you need to type out the entire post before you realize it's simply not worth sending. I'm sure I should delete before posting more often. fingergun

  • I would have twice as many posts if I sent each one I wrote. 1/2 are not worth sending, 1/2 of the ones sent should not have been sent, and the other 1/2 of the ones sent are not worth reading, but I just don't want to lose any of my stars! (That is how you get them or lose them, isn't it?)

    It is not easy measuring up to the high standards VOTH readers have come to expect!

    i'm not sure why that is not allowed. and why is it not allowed to delete fotos/gif/anything.
    and - why there is no preview function is curious if the entire site makes what you put out there set in stone.

  • I was doing pretty good about my "24 hour" rule until that incident* on Sat afternoon.

    Hence, cooling off after a loss before posting. Had the discipline after the MSU, at Purdue, at Wis and at Minn games.

    * I'm referring to that lost 19-point lead as an incident -- still having a hard time calling it a game.

    You can always edit your posts to take all of the substance out of it, with just "never mind" or "please delete" remaining. Once I see that, I'll delete it.

  • Yes, sometimes I actually post it and then am too lazy or just don't want to argue so I don't go back and read responses. I am sure most of you are all great people and we all love our Hawks the same, so I don't see the sense in myself getting angry at fellow posters here, its just not worth the time.
