De'Andre Johnsonn...at it again.

  • Minor thing with the party, this is a little more serious. Johnson apparently wants Hill and Garmon to pass him on the depth chart...or maybe they already have, and this is his way of dealing with it.

    Either way, just plain dumb.

  • In the article it mentions KF said "did he sneeze, too?" in responding to the disorderly house charge.

    Perhaps, this was the sneeze...

  • When you're hot, you're hot!! Maybe KF should have taken him to Chicago instead of his own son. crackwhip At least he would have stayed out of trouble in Iowa City while they were gone.

Oh, gosh, those Univ Heights cops will stop you for barely exceeding the speed limit.
He was ONLY going about 35 mph over the speed limit!
    Leave the poor kid alone.

    LOL :-)

DeAndre may have to go the Kirkwood route, if he ever gets out of Dog-house, at this point.
Barkley Hill and Greg Garmon are built more for the rigors of Big Ten, anway.

  • Before a game 2 years ago, we saw 6 University Heights cops running west on Melrose, and BBR quipped, "There must be an open container up ahead."

    NYCHawkeye

  • Now I'm not saying that University Heights finest don't have anything else to do.

But maybe when they (the police) couldn't get anything other then disorderly house on him, they decided to, ahem, watch him more closely.

    Of course I'm being facetious.

Well its hard to cry injustice when you're driving 35 mph over.

  • I dont think the speeding is the big deal `it was the attempt to evade the police that has him in hot water. If he woulda just pulled over and taken the ticket im not sure we even hear about it.

    Hawkeyefan 418

  • Wasnt he clocked and pulled over within 150 feet? lol

where's the eluding charge coming from?

    epstud74

  • he's been suspended from all football activities. EFFING IOWA RBS.

  • The nature of the "crimes" are not quite in the same category as doing drugs, OWI, rape, driving while suspended, or selling autographed jerseys, etc. Loud party? Not a big deal. Popping a wheelie? Still no big deal. Trying to hide bike in grass (better than hiding grass in his bike) and claiming it belonged to his buddy, Jake? Pretty lame and goofy. It might just be a good year for De'Andre to take a year off so he can mature a little more and get ready to be an important part of some pretty promising years ahead for Hawkeye football.

  • Blew his opportunity before he could even use it. I doubt he serves any real suspension time but he was bound to be the starting RB between him and Bullock. It was his spot to lose and now he loss it, unless he can work his way back up from the totem pole

*ICPD being lame agian. Sure he was speeding. But he pulled over so why tack on extra charges to a football player?

    Sorry UHPD..... semantics

And even worse, those pigs hand out tickets like Paris Hilton hands out STD's. Give the kid a ticket for 60 over, tell him hes a retard for lying cause he wouldve dropped it down to a 50 in a 25 and close the case. He chased him for 3 blocks(thats not a chase), he's not drunk and he has no drugs..... better hit him with some other stupid charge. I'm surprised they didnt shoot him and then sprinkled some crack on him.

BBR and Schnebby, maybe we should have made that citizen's arrest against the UHPD after all, or at least filed a lawsuit after last year's home opener.

Exactly. Someone on another site google mapped the address he pulled out of and the address he was stopped at and it was 4 blocks. The eluding charge will be dropped.

Either way its bad judgement on his part. Fact is that the guy has been a pretty big disappoinment on the field so far IMO too. I was pretty high on Johnson when Iowa recruited him. After reading he won the shot put in Florida as a junior in hs I was pumped. He has been slow to pick up the system "kf's words" and has never really showed any kind of speed.

He just got a speeding ticket. He ran a 4.55 so that means hes a 4.65, anyways like you said he won the shot put, not the 100 meter dash and his squat was pretty soild his junior year before his ACL injury 430lbs. He's a powerback, not a speedback or scatback.

From what Ive seen he isnt much of a back at all. Im not trying to dog on a Iowa player but he has really hasnt showed anything.

I'll take him any day in front of Browlee, Paki, or Jason White. Its hard to judge a player when he's only got 18 carries for 4.4 a pop.
