  • My opinion, I think Wilson hurts a little as he was a nice recruiter for Iowa. I wish he would have been willing to move to RB. If Erb leaves, I know he's had a little success in Illinois, but I've never thought he was a great coach. If Morgan leaves, I will be pissed. His players love him, he's a great coach, and with the two guys he's pulled in from Iowa already for 2014, I think it could really hurt Iowa. I do not want to see Reese leave until he is ready to retire.

    Or food for thought. People are moved around to make room for a new coach, and that new coach is vocal about other coaches not working as hard as HE thinks they should be. Might be uncomfortable for some coaches to have a co-worker who may be reporting your every move to the head man. Internal conflict was mentioned during the season, you are now seeing the results of what was heard.

    Very true but unless a player or coach comes forward we will never know for sure, I saw Albert Young post last night "Some day I will give #HawkeyeNation the inside scoop after a few drinks maybe" So obviously there is some internal issues, I think we all had that feeling anyway.

    And I have heard it is not Kirk making all the changes, It did not say who was for sure but once again that is all speculation I do not know how true it is. I think it was BHGP it said something like "Reminding Kirk he does not have full control over Iowa Football" It was awhile ago when I read it so I dont remember the specifics.

  • If KF truly wants to establish a lasting legacy and someday turn over Iowa football to Brian, he needs to do things like this. Continuity is great, until it becomes stale.
