Perhaps now, the incessant rumors about Captain Kirk joining
Scott Pioli in KC can be buried, for good.
With Chiefs hiring Andy Reid, they also dump Pioli.

I can't help but think what this means for Stanzi. Found this article from Christmas. Just sounds like he never really got much of a chance to show what he could do there. And now with Reid who knows what will happen? I actually wouldn't mind seeing Stanzi end up in Dallas.
It is difficult, if not impossible, for a young quarterback to develop when the only game action he sees in the preseason. But it speaks loudly to what the Chiefs think of Ricky Stanzi that in a 2-13 season where they have continually displayed the need for a quarterback, they havent given him a look.

Good news and bad news for Stanzi. Bad news in that he likely has no chance to win the starting job in 2013. Good news in that this may mean the Chiefs are much less likely to draft a quarterback this year, so he should still be the one young, developing quarterback on the roster. If the new regime drafts another quarterback, that could be a bad sign, as they'll be much more loyal to him than to Stanzi, who wasn't "their guy."
This move, on the other hand, is not so good news for Stanzi...at least from the standpoint of him being viewed as the heir apparent at #2 on the depth chart...
I like the Kansas City Chiefs move to get Chase Daniel to be their backup quarterback. With the Alex Smith trade official, the Chiefs are in m
