Left Oregon for Philadelphia Eagles. And here I thought he had no interest.

wow...that is a change of heart hey? so...did they drastically up the pay or is he expecting Oregon to get hit by the NCAA shortly?
I can only say that his pay this last year was $3.5 million plus $200K in bonuses, and his next year's base salary was to be $3.8 million. Not sure what his NFL pay is yet.
As for the sanctions? Not sure, time will tell if the NCAA, with their snail's pace, have anything yet on the program.
The Ducks board is in epic meltdown...not surprisingly
Goal in life is to save America from Obamacare
I'll have to check that out. Love reading me some drama.
Full out swearing at each other
I know...good stuff.
Did not know that Oregon has to interview a minority for their HC gig. State law. The job is going to OC Helfrich, so who would want to waste their time?
I didn't know that either...i remember Wisconsin had to wait a certain amount of days to announce Anderson as the head coach because of state law
They were bitching and moaning about the Robinson twins opening up their recruitment again. I see Urban Meyer isn't asleep. OSU just offered both twins.
Haha, yeah that was quick.
Wish Bo Pelini would go after them.....
There are few midwest kids, who had committed to Oregon that the IOWA staff needs to be in contact with, right now.
By the way......bleep friggin Chip Kelly
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
well........it'll make next season far more interesting for me. Wonder if we'll give Tebow a job.............
Swearing? Wait til after the press conference tomorrow. Our media will have a free for all jockeying for "exclusive" interview positions............
I don't get why he had that press conference last week saying he was staying and how special Oregon was. What a joke.
Rather 'Saban-esque' of the Chipster.
My guess is this.........a scandal and sanctions follow Kelly's exit, within 2 years.
Someone get the French kid's info over to the Football office. Reese or Phil need to give his
Dad a call, tonite.
I think the main benefit could come down the line. If word gets out that you were interviewed for the Oregon job, that probably increases your perceived value to other schools, even if you had no chance at getting the offer.
As I've said before, I don't at all understand the significant interest NFL teams had/have in Chip Kelly. It'll be interesting to see how he does.
I know the funniest thing about Kelly to the Eagles...his offense? "The Spread Eagle"???
Tony Dungy was on Dan Patrick this morning and wondered if Chip saw the success of Kaepernick and Russell Wilson and if maybe that made him change his mind. Seeing that the read option could be successful in the NFL.
