ISU winning OK in their first round might help...
Go Vandy, Mizzou, Butler, and NC State. Oh yeah and the Hawks have to win too.
It's not even like there wasn't a worse loss they could put there instead (Texas Tech).
Absolutely. Being 4-8 vs RPI top 50 teams sounds a lot better than 3-8.
RPI 74, Sagarin 34, ESPN BPI "in."
Plus it moved Iowa state off the bubble. A lot of people claim it's now down to 11 teams for 7 spots.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
True. Baylor losing yesterday was good as well in that same vein.
This strength of schedule obsession is past old. A lot of those "quality win" teams are overated. How do you discount a 21 win big ten team because of their schedule strength.. How bout you throw in some analytical thinking here. Maybe Iowa I an incredibaly young team and lost 6 games by under 4 points. How about seeing some of their bad losses were at the beginning of the season and the start of conference play. Then there's the fact they've beat all but two of the teams above them in the rankings.
I may be off on some of my points because I didn't fact check them :)
Early action on Friday going our way -- RPI up to No. 70.
Virginia losing is awesome for Iowa. Also, if Wisconsin can pull this one off against Michigan that will help.
Bama knocked Tennessee out of the tournament.
Cracked 70, currently No. 69.
Everything working out so far ... now for our game tonight.
Let's Go Hawks!
RPI 76, but a huge jump in Sagarin to 28, also moved up a few notches in the ESPN BPI.
Is there still hope?
RPI 78, Sagarin 28 and ESPN BPI still "in."
Is there any hope?
