For the Iowa offense, what do you think will Gain more yardage, the Passing game, or the
And then, let's have little fun with picking the yardage for Marc Weisman.
I',m predicting he goes over 100, once again. I'll go with 124 yards to leave some yardage for a
sharp passing game, as well.
GO HAWKS !
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
Honestly, I think it will end up being very close to a 50/50 split yardage wise. If the run gets going, its going to bring the safeties up, and maybe open something for JVB to pull his head out of...well you know where.
I love our OL/TE/FB vs their DL/LB in run blocking. Weisman goes for 140, Bullock chips in 60...that's right I said it...200.
FYI, game's going to be played in a thunderstorm per the weather predictions.
Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.
That would be impressive. No RB has exceeded 54 yards against MSU; Braxton Miller ran for 130+, but that's a very different style of O from what the Hawkeyes are going to be bringing to East Lansing.
Forecast for East Lansing does not look good for the passing game tomorrow. High of 55, 100% chance of rain, and winds from the SSE at 16 mph, switching to SSW by night. Spartan Stadium layed out just like Kinnick, end zones north and south, pressbox on the west side.
Look for mostly a running game, with the passing games of both teams messed up with the wind and the rain. Weisman will get his 100+ and the passing game will be lucky to get that many, unless CJF can break for a long run on a short pass over the middle. With the running game going, it is a possibility. Hawks will need to keep the clock running when they have the ball to keep MSU possession time down and the Iowa ground defense fresh.
Not bad stats for a rainy day. Look for the kicking game to decide the winner of this one. Just hope we are heading north in the fourth quarter if the Hawks hope to pull off an upset.
Looks like I nailed it once again..........well, except the thingy about the sharp passing game.
What a great win!
