It was certainly tight.
I'm really upset with my picks right now. I had both Davidson and Wichita State as upsets, but I went with the better seeded teams anyways. Should have listened to my gut feeling.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
It could be worse. I had Pitt as my national champ in most of my brackets.
Great finish right now in the Marquette-Davidson game. Marquette down one with the ball and 5 seconds to go.
Vander Blue with the huge shot! Marquette up 1 with 1 second to go.
Marquette-Butler, a battle of probable future conference rivals, will be a really good game.
Thank you so much Marquette! Woo!
Thats crazy, but if they won it all you would have been a genius. I need an Oklahoma State comeback big time.
Pitt has fantastic computer numbers, and their matchups seemed really favorable.
I had Okie State in my other brackets. It could be a really bad day for my brackets.
I've only missed the Pitt game so far, but next round my bracket gets real weird. I'm just holding out hope for now.
So how many TO's does Marquette get a game?
Take review out of sports. Train your officials better. B.S.
Gonzaga is in a tight battle with Southern right now. I don't know if I want them to lose because it'd be hilarious, or win for my bracket.
If you aren't watching TBS right now, you need to be. Southern is on an 10-2 run and down just 2 to Gonzaga with about 5 minutes left.
Gonzaga hits a couple shots late and escapes Southern. I was really pulling for the Jags down the stretch.
Michigan and South Dakota State on CBS now. Nate Wolters (guard for SDSU) is a good one. I know Iowa was trying to get him on campus for a visit 4 years ago but he wanted to stay closer to home and play small ball.
I have yet to pick a single upset correctly.
Also, Alford and the Lobos are down early. Here's hoping that holds up.
Don't look now, but a #3 seed coached by Steve Alford is losing to a #14 seed at halftime.
Spike Lee is a Crimson fan.
(For the record, that is him in a J. Lin jersey at a Knicks game. He isn't at the Harvard-NM game tonight.)
I still don't understand why Alford is seen as a good coach. Probably because he has so many friends in the media. He's just another average coach who can get all the talent in the world. Stevens and Smart are way out of his league and they are playing at tougher places to win IMO. New Mexico has a large fan base and a massive arena.
Harvard leads NM 47-43 with under 10 minutes to go.
Timeout NM. Harvard is up 6 with four and a half minutes to play.
I really like the point guard for Harvard. For a freshman, he seems very poised. He's also very speedy.
He's from Hopkins, MN, home of Royce White, Kris Humphries and a number of other NBA and major D1 players. They have excellent high school coaching there.
Down go the Lobos! Harvard gets their first NCAA win in school history.
