B1G 2013 Recruiting #Hawkeyes Commit L Daniels 6'0" 215 RB 1 of best signees in B1G this yr.Way underated has star potential pefect fit gr8
From Denardo I am very excited about this kid
Agree 100%. In my opinion he could play from day 1 if he picked up the plays right away. I hope he redshirts though. He will be an insane nightmare for defenses after a year in the weight room. He is my favorite commit in this class along with Rucker
I agree i was pumped when he switched to us, probably a matter of how well he picks up the play book and picking up blitzes will determine if he plays this year or not. He is physically big enough to but we shall see. I think he will be a great one for us

TRUTH @gerrydinardo: #Hawkeyes Commit L Daniels 6'0" 215 RB 1 of best signees in B1G this yr
And DeNardo wasn't the only one that thought so
Ohio's 2013 RB crop was uncharacteristically thin this year. Recruitniks seemed to think that 4-star DeVeon Smith, who's going to Michigan, was the end-all, be-all. Even Keith Watkins, who was the leading rusher for Moeller's state championship team and generally regarded as the second-best RB in Ohio's senior class behind Smith, is projected to play CB at Northwestern. As a result, I think Daniels got lost in the shuffle of what many thought was an unimpressive group. He was the featured RB on a 9-2 team that made the playoffs in the state's largest division, rushing for 1,600 yards and 15 TDs. He has good but not blazing speed (4.6 forty) but has nice size and excellent balance. He's a solid, solid football player. In years past under Tressel, OSU might have offered him; as it is, he's not the right kind of back for Meyer's spread-option, nor for Northwestern's spread. Michigan might have taken him but they already had Smith and were holding out for Derrick Green. He's built for Wisconsin's offense but they have 4-star Corey Clements coming in; Michigan State had two 3-star RBs committed for nearly a year, and PSU stopped recruiting Ohio heavily years ago. The B1G to watch would have been Illinois because Beckman's been recruiting Ohio hard.
I am admittedly biased because I think highly of Ohio high school football but I believe Iowa got a good one. You're perfect for one another.
I just did an interview for the Des Moines Register and said that Daniels is one of Iowa's commits that's most likely to make an immediate impact.
Count me in as one who thinks he's way under rated. Not asking for a four star bumpage nut he's board line 2* right? He should be mid 80s probably.

When I watched his video yesterday I noticed his attitude while playing. He has an awesome, "mean" attitude when he runs and thats what we need. A huge, nasty, strong and willing banger with some speed!
