Just heard about the explosion in Waco.
I'm good, as are my friends and family. The explosion was about 30 minutes from where I live. We have a good friend who is a nurse at a hospital who got called in to work. For a little while earlier there were tons of sirens outside but that has calmed down now. Pretty crazy stuff.

Glad to hear, buddy. I didn't realize it was West and not Waco at first. I'll head up to Temple tomorrow to give blood if they still need it.
That's crazy, and my heart goes out to the victims. Glad to hear you're okay.
Glad to hear you're OK, jump and please know that you have some folks thinking about the
good people of West and Waco, TX...........and we'll be saying a few prayers, too.

What a sad deal.

Just wanted to pass along a couple of things I've heard about the situation down here:
1. The response to the need for blood has been so overwhelming that the blood banks in this area are over-crowded and have started to send people away, asking them to come back in a couple of days.
2. The city of West has requested that no more items be donated. Too much has been given and they are running out of places to put all the donations.
Thanks to everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers about the situation down here. I didn't personally know anyone who was impacted, but a friend who is a teacher at a charter school has a student whose house is destroyed and several of my friends who are nurses, chaplains, counselors, or have other jobs have been working extensively with the situation.
