It was a one-time deal that escalated very quickly. We banned everyone that was out of line, and there really haven't been many problems since. As you said, IowaBuckeyes has been an outstanding poster here.
Todd was a busy man that night, definitely. And if something like that were to happen again I have no doubt that we collectively here at VotH would quash it.
And I missed it I would have loved going all "The Outsiders" type brawl with the Bucknuts ( I would have been Matt Dillon coming in all bad a$$ n what not)
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
Good to hear! That must have been a nightmare, since Todd (and all of you) are very discerning when it comes to deploying the
I haven't heard about outright bans or even Bucknuts vetting people from other boards before they're allowed to post. But then again, as a "freegrazer," I don't post on the Front Row which is for premium members only so I pretty much limit my posts to Around the Shoe, which is a free board. So unless Bucknuts installed additional security measures I'm not aware of, you should be able to post on Around the Shoe.
We have several Michigan fans who are respectful and post regularly. And then we'll have our share of kamikazes--suicide bombers who open a free account just so they can create mayhem. We've had a few Nits lately because there's so much venom between their board and ours and any time a PSU topic shows up on Bucknuts, they'll show up like ants at a picnic.
And, of course, we have our fair share of hotheads and blowhards, the guys who are surly to everyone but especially any fan of another school. You could say something truly provocative and insightful and they'll DV you just out of spite. Every board does. We learn to tolerate them despite their insolence and intolerance because we realize we have to take the bad with the good.
Brad, your new nickname is "Ponyboy"
Bucknuts, really? Couldn't someone over there come up with a better name? It's as if they let the other BIG10 teams fans pick the name. Buckeyenuts would of been better for them, but as a Hawkeye fan I love the name. The pic below maybe should be a part of the site's slogan, "We help please the Bucknuts."
I've sat here for 5 minutes and literally can't of anything to say in response to something so inane and unoriginal.
Do you know the origin of the Buckeye name? If you do, the dots to Bucknuts shouldn't be that hard to connect.
