And bring in somebody worthy of coaching the gold and black, like Chip Kelly. Period.
Sine Missione -- Never be a spectator for unfairness or stupidity, argue for arguments sake; the grave will give plenty of time for silence.
Maybe you're okay with the sunshine that the Iowa athletic department constantly blows up our asses, but real Hawkeye fans should demand excellence from the program, and Kirk Ferentz consistently fails to excel in any way besides failing to meet expectations.
Yeah. Im sure Chip Kelly would love to move from a beautiful state like Oregon to come to Iowa. He probably wouldn't miss having the best booster in college football having his back anymore or that sweet recruit pipeline he has going on from California to Texas. Leave Oregon who pays 3.4 million to come to Iowa for 3.4 million, makes sense. Should you call him or me?
"Yo Chip I got a Iowa job offer and a bridge to sell you, call me back. Lets do lunch."

And this is why Iowa continues to be a mediocre program year after year. Fans with "low expectations" who enable mediocrity in athletics.
What does my post have to do with your response? Iowa is mediocre because its not logical for Chip Kelly to be swayed away from Oregon? Troll on. Who's your next candidate Nick Saban or Bill Belichick?
My God, we are all so stupid, why didnt we think of this brilliant idea??
i already called Chip to offer him the job. his response was confusing, something about harrassing him, lawyers and cops being involved. then he asked me to stop calling him, again. the nerve of some people.
I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Yea, we need someone who has won some conference championships, won some conference coach of the year awards and a national coach of the year award.
Oh..... . . . . . . wait . . . . . . .
Feel free to debate why you think Ferentz deserves to be fired - that's what this board is for. But I think you're going overboard by blaming Iowa's struggles on the fans and saying that you can't be a real fan unless you want Ferentz fired. There are great arguments on both sides, and it's perfectly reasonable for a diehard Hawkeye fan to take either side.
Might be a troll from one of the other Iowa boards...
I talked to Chip and he asked if there were any quality talent scouts who could evaluate film and sell it to him in Iowa...
It didn't work out so great for us when we pushed Dr. Tom Davis out the door, what makes anyone think firing Ferentz would produce better results? It's taken the basketball team over 10 years to get to a place where we have a legitimate shot at the NCAA again. Would hate to have the same thing happen in football.
Not to encourage "trollism" but I'm just curious as to what brilliant strategy you would use to bring Kelly, or any similar high-profile coach, to Iowa? You assert that acceptance of mediocrity by the fans is the problem with the program, therefore I assume you must have a solution in mind. Please enlighten us.
might explain last Saturday's uniforms.
Trying to entice him?
Nice to see trolls easily dealt with the downvoting feature on this site. Good job everyone.
Chip Kelly isn't even going to be in college football come next year....this thread is even more pointless.
How much are you personally willing to put up to buy out the contract? Answer that first, then I'll respond.
Is Chip bringing Phil Knight with him?
