ok - i'm starting to see some of that

No doubt...as hard as it was to watch Iowa football at times this past season, it was nothing like this!
No defense by Iowa whatsoever...On that last play that is.

With the Marble injury, but he's back now. Hopefully he'll be good to go because Iowa is already without Gesell.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
in 57 and ia 40 - 6:30 togo
zeller getting man love
Time for a run.
Hope springs eternal............back to 12 points with 4+ to go. Miracles happen (sometimes).
Come on Hawks!
White has not stepped up tonight. At all.
Get ready for the Oglesby barrage in the last few minutes. Hope he makes some.
It looks like Indiana prepared for White's "Jump into the defender" shot. White hasn't gotten a single one called tonight. It looks like Indiana had scouted out White's style very well.
See...that looked like a weak foul call there.
well - can't miss fts, and must make sure zeller gets called (on offense there are ways to make this more obvious)
why are the announcers chatting like the game is in doubt
64 free throws....I'd say the refs are a little too involved in this game.
60 - 73 loss
I hope Iowa takes note of that last three pointer...That would be enough to piss me off for next game.
Can't wait until he turns pro and they realize he is 6'8" and not that great at playing basketball when he can't just run guys over on the way to the ball.
Yep, I'm bitter...
With a point spread in Vegas of 14, anyone that put money on this game had to have been sweating out those last few seconds.
Thought Iowa played extremely hard throughout the game, and that was a necessity in order to have a chance to win. As I mentioned earlier today, I thought rebounding, turnovers and free throw shooting would all be key factors, and they ended up being so. Iowa played well defensively for the majority of the game, but you can't give a team as good as Indiana any second chance points or any easy baskets off of turnovers. Iowa didn't get to the line as much as the Hawkeyes would have liked, but Iowa also struggled converting its free throws. Maybe that would have been the difference between that late run cutting it to 10, or Iowa having a legitimate chance to actually win the game at the end.
Marble started to find his rhythm in the second half, so hopefully for Iowa's sake, that continues for the rest of the season.
IU deserves a ton of credit for playing outstanding defense for the most part. While Zeller had a heck of a game, Indiana missed a ton of open threes that they typically make, yet played well enough defensively to maintain a cushion until things started clicking for them offensively.

As much as I don't like Crean sometimes, he at least been consistently advocating for IA to be in the Big Dance. He mentioned it on the BTN interview before the game and in his postgame comments. Yes, the RPI and strenght of schedule matter more.
IA must win out on the remaining two games at home and make a B1G tournament run with Gesell.
Todd, I know you're a really good football guy, and probably a big fan of the sport in general, but I'm also impressed with your overall knowledge of basketball too. Knowing you aren't an Iowa fan by nature, how much of a basketball fan are you overall? Obviously some enjoyment with the Celtics, but do you watch a lot of college hoops as well, or is it mostly football at the collegiate level for you?
I must admit that this Iowa team does not quit - they were out manned tonight and left themselves in a hole only scoring 14pts in the first half - but they kept making plays. They just need some shooters! Can't wait to see Jok in black and gold!
