He was in Tuscaloosa this past weekend.
Michigan has six OL commits in this year's class and got five in last year's class plus both starting OTs are back. Poggi wore #7 in HS, which means he didn't play OL. With their abundance of riches on the OL, there's almost no way they've asked him to flip from DT to OL.

Thanks for the clarification on Poggi visiting Alabama. I just don't keep up with Michigan.
As far as Poggi playing guard, he DID play TE in HS and he was great at it. He was a great run blocker and he looks like a guard on his highlights. Here are his junior and senior highlights. BTW, his senior highlights say DL in the title, but he also plays blocking TE as well.
Junior highlights of Top247 athlete Henry Poggi.

I hear you. I just don't know why they'd ask him to switch to OG when they'll have 11 freshmen, RS FR and sophomore OLs plus both starting OTs back. They don't think they can't find two interior lineman out of 11 guys? If they don't, how many reps do all those guys think they're going to get at OT?
Michigan is LOADED with some of the best o lineman in the nation the last 2 years and I mean LOADED. i don't get why why they would either, of course I don't get why Kirk does half the stuff he does so what do I know
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
This isn't the first time Biff Poggi has said something stupid(in my opinion). He's known to always speak his mind which often rubs people the wrong way.
While what he said may have had some weight to it, a guy in his position needs to be smarter about what is he divulges.
Honestly, if its his account, it could've been hijacked. I mainly think that because how infrequently it was used prior to this month. A couple of tweets in June, a couple in July, a couple in August, one in Dec and then a whole bunch of idiotic ramblings in January. 15 tweets total, and 8 in January. If it is him, then just consider the source. Sounds like a spoiled sport whose not getting his way in life, and is hitting the bottle a little bit too much.
Completely agree with you.
I obviously didn't see him write the tweets, but the fact that they haven't been deleted yet and/or apologized for when it's been out there for a few days now leads me to believe that his account wasn't hacked.
If KF ran his team like an SEC team, ole Biff Poggi would be crying about his son getting cut due to injuries & lack of contribution. Than he'd be tweeting about something else
Turth is everyone is oversigning. SEC's top 6 does it more than the others but the B12 isn't that far behind. Iowa oversigned by 3(?) last year and barely made the quota, thank you DeAndre Johnson, by August.
From the sound of things at Michigan it doesn't make much sense to switch him (like I said, I don't keep up with Michigan at all). I was only passing on what was said. For what it's worth, I think he can play Guard no problem. But like your point said, why do it if your already loaded at the position.
