If there ever was a must-win, then this is it.
Game on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. (Eastern).
MSU (RPI No. 24) favored by 1 over Iowa (RPI No. 76).
Let's Go Hawks!
Home 'dogs. Let's spoil Sparty's day!
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
I agree, a must-win situation. I think the hawkeyes will be coming out to prove something tonight. I hope Carver is packed. Gotta rattle sparty!
I am here in the Stands (my couch), ready to cheer the Hawks to victory. The 1 point spread speaks volumes about how far Iowa has come in three seasons. Now let's prove we deserve the respect the bookies showed when they posted the spread.

Not a betting man but I'm very suspicious of that one point spread. Go hawks tonight.
i usually like it when the officials are pretty passive. however, coach izzo's teams routinely play at the maximum level of physicality allowed on a given day .year in and year out they show a genius for adapting their game to the officials' preferences. heck, if the ref's are too quiet, sparty might go to a mixed martial arts defense. don't hold me to this view any other game day this year--but i want a fairly closely called game tonight.
Working extra late tonight. Get a win for me. In fact get a win for the entire Hawk Nation.
Let's go Hawks!! I'll be watching from KC!
BAD NEWS, Dev Marble is out tonight because of a sprain ankle/bad foot from Monday's practice per pregame. I hope next man in will have a good night. Go Hawks!
Dev out sucks but someone has to step up. IA has a deep bench, someone will play more, like Gesell and Clemmons. May will start in place of Dev.
For everyone at home it doesn't look like Dev has a brace on his ankle. He's just been sitting on the bench mostly so I can't judge his ankle movement though.
Can you get close enough to MSU's Gatorade jugs and spike it? LOL.
Interesting that Fran lets Basabe play through his nagging injuries but not Dev. I'm guessing that Fran believes the team can manage without Dev and have him rest up for NwU on Sunday. Other conspiracy theories?
How's the crowd, UI? Heard a couple days ago there were still quite a few tickets left.
Uh its not IU that's for sure. Probably similar to some of the bigger conference games last week. Lots of non students except the behind the basket sections is what it seems like tonight. Kinda disappointed but there's still time for some late stragglers.
May day hits first 3 after tip off.
May opening with a three
I'll take it
No feed on firstrowsports yet! Grrrr.
You don't have ESPN2?
Nevermind. Up now.
I like the start, keep it up boys
Team effort steps up early, IA 7-0, lots of energy so far.
MSU got settled and powering inside. No answer yet, IA 9-7.
Great start, MSU responded though.
