Put up a hell of a fight tonight. I have to say I am pretty impressed with how your team played tonight and how the young guys played. The crowd was great tonight and it got more loud than I think I ever remember hearing it. Also it sucks that each team had a player not be able to do anything. I would have bet my house that Hulls would have hit at least 1 of those open 3's. I have never seen him struggle so much, especially with a lot of them being open. Then Marble for you guys. He was struggling and trying too hard a lot of the time IMO. Thats what shooters do though, they keep shooting.
Anyways I think your guys future is pretty good. Hopefully they wont take and dwell on this loss because you guys have a brutal stretch to start conference play.
mkillian247 on twitter..... I say a lot of stuff you wont care about.
Thanks...and congrats on the win.
I think it came down to how badly Iowa shot....and on their own court. Can't win many games going 33% FG and 17% 3PT. Getting outrebounded 45-36 doesn't help either.
Our previous game we were 0-17 from 3-point range, yet on our home court. That won't cut it in conference play.
That was an impressive win for the Hoosiers. As you said, though, I do think Iowa can take some positives from this loss. The key is to play with that type of intensity every single game, because if the Hawkeyes don't, then teams like Nebraska, Northwestern and Penn State are capable of stealing a game.
And thanks for the cool words, Old Oaken. The hoosiers responded time and again, when the Hawkeyes made runs.
Good luck, with the exception of your next game vs Iowa.
Hawkeyes have things to clean up. Both the players and the Coaches, imho.
They let I.U. off the hook, here...........Iowa wins by 8 or so, if they just make some easy shots in the
This team can become very, very dangerous if they sort a few things out.
And my gosh, Fran, let's get Melsahn some playing time, huh?
What is the deal with that? Basabe probably better backcourt defender and has played well
on offensive end, this year at times. Olaseni looked lost most of time, vs Cody Zeller.

I have to agree with everything said so far. It seemed like there was a lid on the basket for Marble. Had Iowa been able to have a few players score consistently or Marble hit his shots, Iowa would have won this game. Greg game overall to watch.
Indiana is good because multiple guys can hurt you any given night. I was surprised Hulls did nothing scoring but IU is so deep they can still score. I think Marble going 1-14 really shows Iowa is a player or two away from being a top 25 team. Hopefully Jok and Uthoff can be the guys next year. Congrats on the win.

I think Basabe was hurt or still feeling the ankle injury and that's why he saw limited time.
3rd game v Indiana is the most important one - get there and rule!
Wrestling owns the Olympics
Yep, that's what was reported in today's Gazette.
It's the same ankle they're been trying to rest/rehab since the UNI game I think. This scares me a bit, because we had a 9-day layoff between non-con and the IU game. That's about as much time off as you're gonna get the rest of the season. If it's still bothering him, this could become a big problem for Iowa's inside game.
Thanks, Oaken. IU has a great team, and a great coach. I'm glad they gave him enough time to turn it around.
