I don't think so. I give him credit for playing marvelous in the last three games, and for some of those incredible shots last night. But remember who we played against in the last three games. He was averaging a little under 14 points in the Big 10 games. Our last three opponents were not Big 10 caliber competition. Besides, every NBA analyst has said that he's a 4 - year prospect. I'd be very surprised if he left. He's not nearly as effective playing against bigger, faster opponents with better scouting schemes than the last three teams we have played.
Your best scorer at the point does not maximize a team's productivity. You run your PG to try and get everyone involved. Marble can play the point, and play it well, but why burden him with the double duty of trying to create for the other 4 players AND be the top scorer. It simply does not work well enough, long enough, to be the best long term scenario for this team.
As much as we move the ball a lot of different people create for others. I understand what your saying just think that Marble is a better option at this point in time.
