We know Campbell is gone.
A friend told me today the rumor in Iowa City is Lester Erb and Darrel Wilson are also moving on. I haven't heard anything about this nor have I seen a thread so I apologize if it's been discussed before.
Can anyone elaborate if they know anything? Maybe nothing is coming out in the news because signing day is around the corner?
I'm not reporting this, so this is just an educated guess, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Erb move on. I honestly don't know either way about Wilson.
I am with Todd. I think Erb is gone. However, prett sure Wilson has been out on the recruiting trail based on recruits comments.

Wilson has been - you're right - but I don't think that necessarily means he's staying. Again, I have no inside info about him possibly leaving, but in general, it's pretty common for coaches to continue recruiting until their last day on the job.
Which brings up an interesting point of discussion. What does everyone think about coaches not telling recruits that they are leaving until after signing day? I'm not saying Wilson is leaving or isn't telling recruits, if he in fact is, because most of us don't know what the conversations between them are, just curious about opinions.
And maybe it's been discussed before. Hell, maybe I already asked it or read it before. I drink a lot.
I would infer they may not mention anything about coaches leaving until recruits have signed. Unless a recruit asks if the coaches are sticking around or leaving, there may be no reason for them to mention it to recruits.
I don't see a problem with any assistants staying quiet with regards to leaving. The coordinators aren't changing and the system isn't changing and the academics aren't changing.
Unfortunately that's the world we live in. I'd prefer if recruits were always kept in the loop about this stuff but that is obviously a pipe dream.
BHGP has an interesting take on the curious case of Erik Campbell. They believe that Greg Davis wants a WR coach who will fit better with his system. Still, the whole "pursuing other interests" and his inability to catch on somewhere else is disconcerting.
I've seen the Erb talk other places as well. That really wouldn't surprise me given how his primary position has seen so much attrition. Not saying its his fault 100%, or at all, but its still kind of concerning when it continues to happen.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
It's hard to imagine Campbell being given the hint to move on by Davis considering the talent playing in the NFL from when he was at Michigan. Of course, the talent level he had to coach at Michigan is far superior to that he has had at Iowa.
It would be interesting to know if Davis wanted Campbell to move on because he wants someone else who fits the system better, or if Campbell couldn't stand Greg Davis' system and chose on his own to move on.
