Terrific game from Burke, who proved he can carry a team and lead.
I must admit, it feels strange rooting for Michigan and Ohio State in the NCAA (or any venue for that matter), but it's great for the league.
Now I'll be rooting for half their team to declare early. . . . .
GO NBAers! Go B1G! Go Hawks! Yeah, I gave up on Mich at half, too bad I missed an exciting game. Hope MSU can take care of those Doogies!
Michigan will be preseason no.1 if the 3 freshmen return. They are loaded.
That freshman #4 McGary - what a huge performance for him- man it's going to suck having him at scUM over the next three years. Glad the B1G won though - plenty of time to hate scUM next season!
Odds are McGary won't be there for 3 more years. He may even leave after this one.
I think it would depend on how much McGary enjoys school and how many more games UM has. He's on a tear right now and I have no idea why he hasn't started all year, but if they only play one more game, I'd think he would return for at least next season. Though, I'm not an NBA scout so my opinion means nothing.
"I was brought in here to change the culture. I'm going to coach with passion" - Fran McCaffery.
I think he'll stay for next year, after that, though, I'm guessing he'll be off to the NBA.
Definitely an epic comeback by Michigan, but also an epic collapse by Kansas. At that stage of the tournament, there really isn't much margin for error, and Kansas found that out the hard way.
That's my feeling too. I think leaving now might be a bit too soon. Michigan will still be good next year even without Burke and Hardaway Jr.
