A couple things:
First, the commit list here is always up to date, at least to my knowledge. We'll have the roster issue addressed by spring football.
Next, Morehouse posts on HR because the Gazette and that site have a deal. I wouldn't expect to see him here anytime soon, at least not under his own name.
Finally, I haven't said much on this because I don't see the point of addressing things when it's nothing more than speculation, but there does appear to be some smoke to the rumors that we'll have more turnover on the football staff. Some members of the staff have been looking at nother jobs/drawing outside interest. My assumption is, if anything comes to fruition, it will be addressed after Christmas unless the UI's hand is forced (i.e. a coach takes a job elsewhere and that school announces the hire).
Thanks for the input Todd.
So just to recap...
Morgan-sounding like gone
OK now you guys fill me in on new coaches:
WR: Boby Kennedy
Oklahoma fired former hawkeye Bruce Kittle today.
I have no clue anymore, out of all the people leaving Reese bothers me a lot.
Who would have thought at year 13/14 Ferentz would be rebuilding both on the field and in the office? Im really worried this thing has got away from him. SEEMS that the GD hire and promoting PP bothered some long time assistants. Ferentz has excelled at hiring assistants in the past but the Greg Davis hire is looking bad.
Coach Morgan has had a good run but lets face the fact. He was an Iowa HS football coach. This was his first college job. He coached the Oline with KF contibuting. He switched to Dline this yr with bad results. Lack of talent or not, that Dline didnt improve much. If losing Ross P or Jay Scheel is your worry I understand but remember they are local boys who committed early. With or without Morgan they could be swayed by a big time school if Iowa has another bowl-less season.
I mean Ross knew Reese wasnt the o line coach anymore and Scheel is a qb so hopefully it changes nothing
