So, it's not all Burke. Glad to see UM win even with Burke and Staukas struggling. Man, did they almost blow it with those missed FT...
Too bad the Shockers didn't win. ...but I think it's a good matchup for UM.
Now take care of business you stinking Wolverines. I don't want to see that smirk on Pittino's face in 2 days.
Since Fab Five wins were vacated Mich can start a new clean slate program with a win and represent the B1G! Go Hawks!
ESPN would've had a party in the studios had there been 2 Big East teams and no B1G team in the finals.
That was definitely a nice win for the B1G. While it's a shame only one B1G team made it to the Final Four, I think the fact that it was Michigan - and not one of the teams that finished ahead of the Wolverines in the standings - is proof of how deep the B1G was this year.
The B1G had 4 teams in the final 16. That's really more indicative of strength of a conference, I think.
What a great match-up. Michigan vs Louisville.
Michigan can play really terrific and do so about 85% of the time. If they are in that A zone, they will win by
7........that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
Yes and no. The more teams a conference has in the Sweet 16, the better. But based on the seedings entering the tournament, there weren't any overly impressive wins by those teams to make it to that point.
Amazingly, UM finished 5th in conference play this year.
Yep, and I think the fact that they were able to make it to the title game speaks to the strength and depth of the B1G.
