Figured that was coming.
I feel this picture would have been better if we superimposed Todd in there, but he would need a sad face too
That might make me go on a banning spree.
Well if it was a pic from the beginning part of the game...Browns fans always have this silly look on their faces...like they can win a game or something,
Was there some crazy guy on here, a week ago, arguing that the Iowa Hawkeye belonged in the
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
In terms of quality, of course they did and everyone on here has said that. Do you even read posts that respond to you?
Had they shot the ball all season....hell in just a handful of games...like they did tonight...they would've been.
No he does not, he cannot read, he really does not even know what he posts
Just got done watching Pittsburgh's highlight video from the playoffs this past season...
I just got done watching the Browns win their second Super Bowl...oh wait...that was the Ravens...MY BAD
Because they are winning games in the NIT, that means they belonged in the Big Dance? Someone has to win the games contested in the NIT.
They would have made the Big Dance if they had beaten VaTech, Neb and Purdue. Pretty simple stuff.
They could even afford to lose those ones so long as they beat one of the top 4 teams once. Collapsing down the stretch against MSU in both games was extremely detrimental to the NCAA chances. We like to talk about how great the B1G was this year, but Iowa played probably the weakest schedule possible and failed to deliver against the teams who really made the conference great this year: Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Michigan.
They lost games and failed to keep leads near the end of those games.
For that reason, they didn't belong in the Big Dance.
Another Wrong 'opinion'.
And I'll exercise 'my right' to disagree and say that IOWA
easily should have been IN the Big Dance.
It's really a No brainer
Good point - I really never had a signature win. The Wisconsin game at home was impressive, but a win over one of the those other four really would have helped.
The Elite Eight breaks down like this:
3 Big East (Louisville, Marquette, Syracuse)
2 Big Ten (Ohio State, Michigan
1 ACC (Duke)
1 SEC (Florida)
1 Missouri Valley (Wichita State)
Maybe the B1G wasn't quite as good as some had originally thought. Top to bottom, I'd still rank it #1 because of teams like Iowa who are strong in the middle, but I don't think the upper echelon is/was as good as once thought.
I think it's very important for the conference that both OSU and Michigan make it to the Final Four. Especially if only one Big East team makes it (or even zero), that would help back up the B1G's performance in the regular season by having the most teams in the Final Four. But if one or fewer B1G teams make it, and the Big East gets two or three teams in, I think the national media might begin talking about the B1G possibly having been a bit overrated.
Well the Big East is guaranteed 1 since Marquette and Syracuse play each other, but I agree. It would certainly bring about an interesting debate if the Final Four consisted of Louisville, OSU, Florida, and Marquette/Syracuse. That would put the Big Ten at 1, behind the Big East's two and tied with the SEC with 1.
Good point, and that donned on me shortly after posting that. I really think the B1G needs to be at least tied with, if not ahead of, every other conference in number of teams in the Final Four, or the perception may diminish a bit.
