Rudock 1st string.
Weisman 1st string RB
Havent been able to find much.
Anyone else catch anything?
Couldnt find a depth chart on here, let alone an updated one. The spring 2-deeps can be found on the web.
Blythe at center eh? Interesting. Good to see Lomax at corner and all the depth in the d backfield
Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
Believe Blythe to C was always the plan. Im pumped for Lomax coming back.
QB- Who knows
RB- Exciting. Thought maybe Garmon would get the nod
WR- 1 proven guy then who knows. Cotton due?
TE-Should be salty and deep.
DL- DE is once again underwhelming. Alvis could impress. DT has potential and will have to pick up the slack at DE.
LB- On paper will be our most experienced and talented group.
DB- Love the 2 starters. Not sure about depth. Campbell quit track to concentrate on football.
S- Im in the minority but feel Miller will turn it around. Pumped about Ruben Lile in the mix. Kid seems to be a balla.
ST- Should be an improvement.
These are just the spring 2-deeps but are always interesting to me (judging by replies im the only one). Alot can change but on paper this team seems to have some potential. Schedule is tough. The real question is how the players and new coaches mix. Will GDGD's system work? Talent is there. Got sick of that excuse last year. Any true freshman gonna make a splash?
I 2nd everything you said, Pumped about Lomax being back and will be pumped once Lile is healthy. I also expect to see more of Alston and Laron at linebacker. Hopefully Campbell can get his game on kid is faaassssssst. I actually think while I am not excited about de, they do have potential to surprise us this year. DT is going to be fun to watch we have some big time gamers in play now. I think T Smith makes big noise this year at w.r. as well as Powell. And as far as true frosh I could see Rucker, Warfield, King and Daniels all see the field, and I do think at least 1 to 3 of the incoming 15,000 w.r's we got see time as well. Outside chance on Kenney and Spearman (maybe not we do need guys prepped for next year) So I guess what I am saying is all of our incoming freshman will play
Malloy put on 35 pounds now at 215. In a walking boot from ankle injury 2 weeks ago. Blythe +25 to 300.
Scherff back to 100%
Donnal a couple weeks away from 100%.
So where is Louis Trinca-Pasat?
He's hurt will miss the spring/
Sigh...what'd he hurt?
Shoulder injury. I believe he had a minor surgery on it a couple weeks ago.
I think Austin Blythe can be as good a center as any that we've ever had. Much bigger than Casey Wiegmann, but has a ways to go to match Casey's technique and toughnesss.
Scherff and Donall back to 100% gets me excited.
This Offensive line could protect our QB, Jake Rudock, quite well, this season.

I don't know if these are the updated weights. My friend's daughter goes to Iowa and says Morris looks bigger than last fall.
I always love seeing the weight difference between seasons, can't wait until it is posted. And if true about Malloy he could e a serious threat, he was already turning heads last year and now he has B1G size, I am excited to see what he can do
I just read the presser and it said "We are going to miss Mike Malloy" is he gone? ANyone know?
I think it is just his foot injury, I read it as if he left but I don't think he did, not that I can find at least. And thanks for posting that, very nice gains from people I was hoping to see it out of
Kind of surprised Meyers isn't on there if he is moving to de. Also I figured Jaleel would lose some weight, but bigger? I like it
How does someone gain 35 pounds so quick? 35 seems like a ridiculous number
It's possible that his listed weight on last year's roster was a bit off. But even if not, a lot of true freshmen will really pack on some strength and weight that first year because it's the first time they're in such a high level strength and nutrition program.
True didnt think about that. Itll be interesting to see what he can do at RB this coming season. Sucks he has to miss the spring.
One thing I've mentioned before is that it'd be a great sign for Iowa if someone like Ryan Ward can step up and show he's a legit left tackle in the B1G this year. That would enable Scherff to move back down to guard, where he's got more potential, and would strengthen Iowa's offensive line as a whole.
It's obviously just the two-deeps on the first day of spring ball, but I was a little surprised that Ott is listed ahead of McMinn at this point. At least one of those guys - or, alternatively, one of the other young defensive ends - needs to have a breakout year in 2013 in order for Iowa to get the defense back on track.
Yep, that's a tough break, but I guess it could have been worse timing wise. Ferentz said Malloy is out for about two weeks, so hopefully he can get some good work in those final few practices before the spring game.
True and then there is also fall camp and the entire summer for these guys to be evaluated by the coaches.
Im wondering if he goes on full ride this fall. I believe he was a gray shirt, but then KF said that he was getting some sort of academic money and that if he played last year it would have messed with that. Will also have Hill getting some reps at RB. Dare I say we are deep at RB?
