With the resounding Win over I.S.U. still fresh in our minds, Fran
McCaffery's Hawkeye hoopsters are looking to exorcise some
hideous memories of Wells Fargo, as well as some prior UNI games.
So, if you're in the Des Moines area and would rather watch
College Basketball than wander around some lame Mall, my suggestion is that
you put on the Hawkeye Black n Gold and get down to the
Wells Fargo arena about 1:30 pm on Saturday afternoon.
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
I'm coming over for the game with Lao and his brother.
I've broken my bad luck streak, ya know.
No worries, BBR.
Fran has these guys focused, imho and
I think it will be a large Hawkeye crowd, turning it into
Carver-Hawkeye West. I'll look for you my Hawkeye friend.
I'll be with the little woman, who I've apparently convinced to
choose Hoops instead of Jordan Creek.
This week has been a long break for BB, I am definitely looking forward to losing my voice tomorrow. Go Hawks!
Now get a winning streak going.
Oh yea.... Lookin' for number two.
We owe the Panthers big time for that flopping game in Cedar Falls last year.
Considering that the Hawkeyes committed lots of silly turnovers, along with Melsahn and Woody having pretty
bad games, that was a nice wiin against a pretty good UNI team.
Gesell, Marble & White lead this Hawkeye team, again. And those who predicted the
Iowa Hawkeyes would be falling short of the Big Dance, now are going to be back-tracking fast.
You watch and you know that type of pinhead.
Woody had a very good defensive game. His presence allowed the iowa perimeter D to be solid. Mel, was not as good as O, but still they clogged the middle the first 35 minutes of the game.
what Pin heads are you calling out? I think all of us feel that Iowa is a fringe dance team, this game does not make iowa a certain. I see the progress, and i like it.
Wrestling owns the Olympics
I still think iowa is an NIT team. While we have inside guys now, they still lack inside dominance. What Woodbury and Olesani provide some defense.
It will be interesting to see how they do in the B1G. I still think Iowa needs an inside presence who can consistently score 10 points and 10 rebounds per game to be an NCAA tourney contender.
BBR......your winning streak continues.
Better get to see the Hawkeye hoops more often.
