OK.........I went ahead and looked it up and
Encyclopedia Britanica defines it as slimeball.
Another definition for a Luke Meredith, AP reporter is weasel.
What is this clown asking the head Football coach about some
peon, low-level, scum paper-shuffler who may go to jail soon for
assaulting students at UI?
Why is this weasel coming into a Football Press conference with this line of questioning?
'Texan by birth, Hawkeye by the Grace of God'
To be clear and in the interest of full disclosure, I support
Captain Kirk 110%.
Meredith Luke or whatever this weirdo reporters name is, ahhhhhhh....
Not So Much.
I think it's a relevant topic to bring up this week, and that was the first time anyone had access to Ferentz since the allegations came out.
Im surprised and happy it isnt getting more national attention. Maybe this guy wasnt very high up at the U. Anyway something similar happened at Wisconsin recently and it was basically a nonstory.
Nothing like a terrible season with a little tickets for pics scandal. Cant wait to see what happens if the offseason.
Heres a little video of the exchange.
KF is not himself.
getting worse instead of better.
Todd: Sorry, however, I don't see what Peter Gray, some dilwad advisor, who I could express a lot of other
adjectives about has to do with
IOWA playing Michigan in Ann Arbor this week?
Ask Barta.......he's in charge of All athletics at Iowa.
Kirk Ferentz is the Head FOOTBALL guy.
We have a topic it on our site about it but some idiot named the topic title "Oh Boy" instead of UofI athletic official gets busted in SEX scandal.........
1.) It was recent and the guy busted worked within the athletic department and KF works within the athletic department
2.) Iowa sucks right now so there only so many questions you can ask 4 weeks in a row about why your team is playing bad.
3.) Who cares? Whats the big deal? He got asked a question that wasnt too out of line in about 99% of Americas opinion and your posting about it like he's asking about some recently murdered family member.

As FUISU said, Gray worked in the athletic department with some of Ferentz's players at one point. I think it's very relevant, and many readers would be interested in hearing what Ferentz has to say about it. That reporter was just doing his job.
And in general, Ferentz is asked multiple questions every week that don't have anything to do with that week's opponent.
Ferentz isn't able to comment on something in regards to an ongoing investigation anyways. So he knew he wasn't going to get an answer.
Ferentz was pissed because Kirk was mad how the guy asked the question and implied the Ferentz had said some stuff that Kirk didn't think he had said.
I don't have a huge problem with how Ferentz handled it. Both sides have a job to do, and I understand where they both were coming from. From the reporter's perspective, even getting Ferentz to say "no comment" is better than not asking. In that case, at least his readers know he looked into it. So I do think it makes sense for him to ask.
I agree, he isn't doing his job if he asks. Ferentz shouldn't have swore. I really don't think this is a big issue. Kirk is just as frustrated as the fans, which is good in my opinion. If he showed no emotion about having a crappy team, I'd be a little concerned.
I wish that any of the network news reporters had the same size balls as some sports reporters and were not so obvious in their leanings.
The reason Ferentz was brought into this is because a local radio station tied Ferentz and his program to Gray. Once that was "out there" to borrow from Luke's vernacular, it was fair game to question Kirk as to what his program's involvement was with the guy.
I am not aware of this situation in the slightest but, was he really tied to Ferentz or is this just what was reported? To many times the media makes assumptions that don't check out, that is all I have to say.
go hawks, beat MI.
Thanks for buttressing my point, KCHawk.
This media weasel was being weasel-like and it's not too hard to recognize that.
At least for some of us..............
