I've read the thread, and I never questioned your logic. I simply asked where your disagreement lies with Ohiohawk as you both agree about his draft stock for this season. Bottom line, snide comments like that are unnecessary and add nothing to the discussion.
Well how high can CJ raise his draft stock? I think we can all agree he will never be a 1st or maybe even 2nd round pick. Tight Ends just aren't drafted that high usually. So if he can be a 4th round pick now, why stay just to see if you move up to the 3rd round? Also you are just starting your NFL contract a year early so you can get your next contract a year early. So if he believes in himself and feels he can be successful at the next level, he should go. But if he enjoys his time at Iowa and wants to do more here, and feels like he could get more out of the program he should stay.
And honestly I haven't look around much at where he could get drafted. 4th round seems high to me but what do I know? I think CJ coming back is more about what his goals to accomplish in a Iowa uniform are. You know he could have that Dallas Clark type year here. Or maybe he wants to go out playing in a bowl game.
I'm done wasting my time with you. If you can't comprehend what you claim to have read, that's your problem and I don't need to waste my time spoon feeding it to you. What exactly you think you have added to this thread is beyond me.
Sine Missione -- Never be a spectator for unfairness or stupidity, argue for arguments sake; the grave will give plenty of time for silence.
Take a deep breath my man!
Fish is just trying to make sure everyone feels comfortable sharing their opinion here, which is what this site is for.
Exactly. People can make points and state their opinions without being demeaning to other posters.
Just let it die folks. I misread his opening statement and took it to mean something totally different, and I apologized for it.
Further discussion is fruitless on all counts.
I respect DER and his opinions, but we will just have to agree to disagree on certain counts. I tried, albeit haphazardly and with a certain amount of defensiveness to explain my position. I failed. So be it. Lets move on.
No ill will here against anyone.
Solid stuff here.
