  • Really pulling for Iowa but when he went for 3 earlier in game that said it all. Playing Tressle ball, settling for 3's! On the road fighting for a bowl game and ur coach says go for 3! The team quit after that! I've always liked Iowa and respected Ferentz but has he lost all will to win??!! All will to show his players that he believes??!!

  • And let me be clear; I mean no disrespect! Just looking at this league, this team, this coach...no wonder big ten sucks! Tressel was same way. He got rolled in bowl games, playing for 3's. Iowa fans have to be fed up!

  • Down 7 on the road on 4th and 2. 3 was the correct choice there. The D never showed up.

  • Tressel was one of the best coaches in B1G history. Was he more conservative than some other coaches? Maybe, but he won a ton of games. As for getting rolled in bowl games, he won the Sugar Bowl in 2010, the Rose Bowl in 2009, the Fiesta Bowl in 2005, the Alamo Bowl in 2004, the Fiesta Bowl in 2003 and the National Championship in 2002. In all of those games, Tressel's team beat the more glamorous team (Miami, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Oregon and Arkansas). Not sure it's fair - or even close to accurate - to say he always got rolled in bowl games.

Regarding Ferentz's call for the field goal, as the others have said, I thought that was the right call. Didn't see any signs of players quitting after that decision. The defense is just awful right now.
